To CLF board.
We are trying to get some medications together to meet the needs of the Benitez family. This is Pastor Dario’s daughters family in Tegucigalpa Honduras. For those of you who do not know this family carries a gene that is related to muscular dystrophy. The mother Martha, son Benjamin and daughters Laura & Devine. There is no found cure so they are required to take 11 different supplements to attempt to maintain a functioning lifestyle. Benjamin is now mostly bed ridden due to this disease. This family is in financial crisis. The medication is very expensive and work (jobs) are very hard to get in Honduras. Now there is much civil unrest there adding to the shortage of available work and finances. I would like to propose to the CLF board to provide funds through CLF to purchase a 1 year supply of supplements for this family thus meeting their health needs as well as relieving some of the financial burdens they are under. To purchase these items the total cost is approximately $2265. As added info, due to the lack of finances a few months ago this family was forced to leave their 3 bedroom modest home to move into a very small apartment style home in an attempt to make monthly rent.
Thanks for your consideration to this matter.

CLF Board; I partner with a non-profit Christian ministry in Malawi called Werengani Ministries. I’ve known the Malawian director for 19 years and I am chairman of the board for the ministry. My duties include fundraising and taking teams to Malawi. I am currently raising their monthly budget as well as soliciting sponsorship for school children at Werengani School. We are seeing great progress in the rural Muslim Villages so we currently looking to hire teachers for the new school term starting in September, hiring a headmaster and looking to hire ministry positions to disciple and teach the new Muslim converts to Christianity. I invite all of you to come with us and help us disciple this nation. Whitt Bass or myself can tell you more about what is happening, I would love to see more of you come. Currently with these donations earmarked to Malawi, I have $3,225 designated to Staff and Projects with Werengani Ministry and $600 designated for school sponsorship. The staff and project money will be spent to hire teachers, ministry people as well as fund fuel, building projects, land purchases, benevolence activities and feed children. The School sponsorship is directed toward the anticipated 170 school children set to attend the Christian school in September. They will receive a uniform, food and school supplies for 3 terms. We need to also build two more classrooms asap. The school grows by a grade every year and we are now up to third grade. I would welcome any input or questions regarding our ministry in Malawi. We need workers more than money.
