Friday, May 15, 2015: On the flight from Knoxville to Houston Texas I sat in the very back of the plane with Corey Stumbaugh. Corey is in the Navy and is an instructor in electronics. He was headed to San Diego California with his girlfriend. This too was a divine appointment set up by the Holy Spirit. As we were taking off our conversation flowed easily, it went to faith in Jesus. I offered Corey an opportunity to allow his girlfriend to exchange seats with me but he declined. He did not believe in the Bible or in Jesus Christ. He could not fathom the fact that a loving God would send people to hell. I told him that we were like the man stranded in the sea and would drown if we did not get help, but someone came along and through us a life preserver and said, "Take hold and you will be saved." Jesus is that life preserver and it is our choice to accept or deny him. And the loving God desires that each man take hold of the salvation provided. He said that his girlfriend was a devout Christian and would be pleased that I was talking to him. I asked him about marriage and he desires it but will be deployed at sea for a year and he doesn't know how his girlfriend can handle this. I was praying in the spirit for him and left the results of God's word in his heart. He doesn't care to have children because at the end of life it goes into black nothingness.
