at a church on Sunday November 13. I told him I was available. He proceeded to tell me,
"I'm going to have you preach at some point but for this Sunday I just feel like you are
supposed to attend our services and I'm not sure why." I immediately began to think, well
maybe Hannah my daughter is supposed to sing and lead a song or two in worship. I offered
this idea to pastor David Mosely. He was very open to this and this was our plan. I also
offered to voice a prayer of blessing over him and his congregation and he liked this idea
as well.
Sunday arrived and Hannah and I attended the small congregation at First Assembly in
Mangham. The plan was that Hannah would sing 2 songs and also a song of invitation for
the congregation. After Hannah sang her first song the pastor walked over to me and asked
me when I wanted to say the blessing prayer over his congregation. I said how about after
this song. He agreed. I remembered part of why I felt led to speak a prayer of blessing for
the pastor and his congregation. While he and I visited at the OMV office he opened up to
me that since the oil industry had taken a dip that this had affected his church giving financially
and he had also seen a dip in attendance at his church in recent days.
So when I introduced Hannah and I; I began to share about how our God is one that STILL
RESCUES. How our God had rescued Hannah and our entire family. I then proceeded to
share some of the story about Holly who had just been touched by the Lord in so many
supernatural ways through the project 41 hotline phone call. I proceeded to tell the congregation
that no matter where they were currently or where they have been - that God is able to touch
them and move in their life as well. I then voiced a prayer of blessing and covering over the
congregation. Psalm 91 prayer.
After I prayed Hannah sang her next song. Then the pastor went up to Hannah and told her to
continue playing and singing during the altar prayer time he was about to open up. We had many
come for prayer at the altar for healing needs as well as emotional healing that would take place.
There were some folks who were significantly touched by God this day. One lady in particular
received prayer for pain in her legs. She then began receiving a touch from the Lord for what
seemed to be a major breakthrough emotionally. She began to cry out loudly as if some bondage
was lifting off of her. This went on for what seemed like forever but really just about a minute or two.
I just continued praying for her and held her. When she finished crying out she seemed as if
something very heavy lifted off of her and was at peace.
