I am thankful for the hearts of men like James Morris who is seeking to be a catalyst for change in this area. It’s an honor to walk with James and be about Yahweh’s business (LK 2:49, Matt 28:19).
Grace and Peace
I met a host of Brothers in Christ at Harvest Foods in Bawcomville Good Friday for a few hours of mission work. We met to pair up (Mk 6:7) and go into the community to share the love of Jesus with people. Myself and Tim Smith teamed up and headed into the neighborhood to penetrate the darkness (Isaiah 9:2, LK 1:79) with the Light of the World, Jesus (JN 8:12). We began to drive and pray and ask Holy Spirit to lead us (John 16:13) to people that needed to hear a message of hope or to someone needing a physical touch from Yeshua. We stopped at the local laundromat first and encountered the owner sitting out front on a small bench. I had a few tracts in my hand and he asked me not to leave such in his place of business. Tim was sitting beside him and I knelt beside him and told him we had not planned to leave anything but rather desired to encounter people that we could speak face-to-face with to share to Gospel (good news). When I asked him about his faith in Christ he only mentioned being Catholic and nothing about a personal relationship with Jesus (2 Tim 3:5) and soon got up walked off. We got in our car and began to drive and pray in the spirit (Eph 6:18, Jude 1:20) seeking an encounter with someone who was hungry. Soon we met a young man walking so I slowed down, rolled down my window and asked if we could pray with him. He seemed anxious to meet with us. Stacy confessed to simply walking and pondering his life. School was not working out, he attempted to join the military but that didn't work out either. He confessed to occasional marijuana use. That opened a door for Tim Smith to share his testimony of deliverance from drugs and alcohol. As Tim looked Stacy directly in the eye and boldly spoke of Yahweh's love, quoted scripture to confirm what he was saying Stacy began to weep and became very broken. We laid hands on him and began to call out to heaven on his behalf and speak new life into him, Stacy began to smile as he sensed and felt the tangible presence of Holy Spirit. Stacy thanked us and walked away free (John 8:36) from the guilt and bondage that held him captive.
