Recently while teaching a biblical foundations class at Project 41, I had the opportunity to minister to one of the young ladies who has been struggling with how she sees Father God. The young lady began to share with me how her father was a Vietnam veteran and how he was never really THERE for her as she grew up.  This unhealthy relationship between her and her Earthly Father has impacted her in how she sees Father God. I asked her, “How do you see Father God”?  She responded that she saw Father God in a distant manner. I told the young lady that we know that Father God loves you and that he is really not far away. Lets renounce the lie that Father God is distant and far away from you. We then prayed
for her to forgive her earthly father for being distant and uninvolved  in her life.

Once she renounced the lie and forgave her earthly father, we then moved toward the next step. I said to her, ask Father God this question: “Father God, what is the truth about the lie that you are distant, uninvolved and far way from me?”  We waited quietly until Father God answered her question. Approximately 30 seconds to a minute later Father God answered her prayer. The young lady began to weep and sob.  She said, “I’m sitting in HIS lap.
HE is rocking me like a little girl.” I proceeded to tell her to press her head into HIS CHEST.  I then asked Father God to love on her and for MORE of HIS PRESENCE, LOVE AND GLORY to come over her.  Then she said, “I can feel HIS ROBE.  It’s very soft.”  At this point I just remained quiet and allowed her to have her moment with HEAVENLY FATHER. WOW!!! This was such an amazing moment for Father God to remove the lie that HE was far away. Father God did more in this one moment than what may have taken years of
 counseling.  Praise God!!!

Testimony by Mei Powers

Saturday, January 30, 2016: A testimony by Mei Powers back in her home town. There was a guy at their church for Morning Prayer and had a problem with his eyes. Something had gotten in them and he couldn't see clearly. They were getting worse. He asked his pastor to pray for him and the pastor told him to go to the doctor. Mei Powers' mother was there and told the guy to come to their house; he did and Mei prayed for him. After the first prayer he said nothing happened, but after second prayer he said his sight was 30% better. After the third prayer he can see clearly. He started crying saying God is good.

I had a very encouraging experience and testimony from life group this
week. There was a first time visitor at our group.  She is a young
lady who is looking for fellowship opportunities in the church. Towards
the end of the meeting, we decided to pray a blessing over her.  At the
end of the prayer time, I spoke up and shared two pictures that had been
come to my spirit.  One was a picture of her weeping.  Another picture was
of her holding a small, ornate, gold box that was full of jewels.  As I saw
this, I asked God, “What does this mean?”  I believe God told me that
she had lost something in the past, something important to her, but that
God was going to give her something new. The old thing was gone. It would
not come back. It was over.  It was in the past.  Instead God was going to
give her something new something and more precious.  He was giving her
something beautiful.  This word touched her greatly and she was in tears.
When I finish sharing this word, she said she wanted to tell a story.

She said that several years ago she had been in love with a man. She
said that she had cried a lot over this relationship because she had
a strong desire to get married, to be a wife and to have children, but the
relationship did not go well. This man wasn’t serious, but as she would
find out, he just wanted to use her.  She broke off the relationship,
which made him mad.  He began to follow her.  She became afraid and spent
a lot of time crying over this fear, loss, and disappointment. Although this
man eventually left her alone, she began to wonder if she would ever be in
love again and get married. So this word that I gave her was very important
to her.  The picture of the golden box was an encouragement to her that God
had a greater blessing for her.  The old was gone and something new and better
was coming.

It was January 2014 that Jacob my oldest grandson decided to join our
mission trip to Honduras with the team. As a son of a missionary he
has traveled many miles and been in many countries. From my perspective
he was a burnt out preachers kid. He said the only reason he went was
to appease his father and grandfather. There was something about this
trip to Honduras that touched his heart. He said he didn't want to go
back home. Jacob will be joining Youth with a Mission as a result of that
trip. Jacob has completed one tour with YWAM where he served in Taiwan. He
is now serving YWAM in Montana as an intern. I thank the Lord for my grand-
son and he is truly a GRAND SON! I Love Jacob.

I wanted to share one thing …one thing the Lord is teaching me,if a door
opens, just walk through it…whether you feel like you are good at it or
not. If the Lord opens the door…just be obedient and do it. I had the
opportunity to share at a get together with a group of women and men
in Monroe that Gloria Steele puts together. I shared what the Lord had
done in Brazil and had the chance to visit and pray with a few of the
people there. I am so thankful that I went…it really was a blessing to go
and be a part of a wonderful group!

 Love ya’ll!

I also had the opportunity to pray for folks outside of the church house.
I joined Tim Smith, Neil Powers, Mike Clark, Jonathan Tucker and a few
other fine folks in the Rayville area to minister on January 1. We
prayed for the Lord to heal a lady of shoulder pain that also had a
restriction of range of motion who lives in Rayville, Louisiana.  We each
began to worship in the home and the Lord gave this lady the ability to
move her arm in a full range of motion -- Pain Free!!! I also ministered
to a man in Tallulah this past week that had Rheumatoid Arthritis in his
neck and shoulders. Again, I played worship music in his home and began
asking Father God to remove pain in his shoulders and neck. After he
and I worshiped, prayed and asked for healing - in the span of about
30 minutes - all pain left the man’s shoulders and he had full range of
 motion without pain.

Happenings from Eva Church of God by Whit Bass

There were others who came to the altar. I think there were five different
men and two women who came to receive prayer at the two ALTAR CALLS. My
brother Will came to ask to be a better father to his children as well
after I appealed to the men in the congregation, “Who wants to be a better
father to their children?”  There was another REDEDICATION as well. I heard
numerous responses of how God moved in the service and there were comments
from some of how they had never attended a service quite like it. GOD IS GOOD.
Two altar calls and many lives touched today by Abba Father!!!

This is a response about the Eva Church of God Service at Monterey by Tammy
 S. Thompson from a Facebook post: “Went to church with Jo Anna this morning
to the Eva Church of God. Got such a blessing to be there with all of her
church family. There were special speakers there today, and wow!!! They
touched my heart and soul. People, think about what the drugs do to your
family. It does not only affect you. Men, love your daughters and talk to
them and allow them to talk to you and really listen to them.”

Testimony from Brazil by Mei Powers

In Brazil as Mei moved about there was a young boy 16 or 17 years of age
that began to follow her around. She didn't know whether he was a follower
of Jesus or not. At one time she turned and asked him if she could pray
for him, he made no response and his face looked rather cold. There
were so many people to pray for she decided to move on; he continued to
follow her as he did she realized that he could speak English and she
needed an interpreter. She asked him to interpret for her as she ministered
to people. At the end of the meeting he came to her weeping, she asked
him, "Why are you weeping?" He said that he didn't believe in God; he said
that he hated the pastor, I hated the leaders. He saw corruption! Mei's
response was, "You see how God has open the blind eyes and caused the deaf
to hear, and has healed all those that were there. That is who God is, what
else do you need to know, he is a God that can do everything." She said,
Do you want to believe in God or not, you seen everything." She asked him
if he wanted to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord, and he said yes. She
led him in a prayer to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord then she led him in
a prayer to forgive all those that had hurt him, the pastor's and the leaders.
She told him that he needed to keep his eyes off of people and focus of Jesus
 Christ.

Thank you brother Joey for extending an invitation to Hannah and
I to minister with him today in Monterey, Louisiana at Eva Church
of God.  The congregation was well attended and many were expectant
for a move of God.  The church service lasted almost 2 hours this
Sunday morning. Carol Fairbanks shared her testimony of how God has
RESCUED her from the perils of Addiction from substances. She appealed
to those in the congregation to SURRENDER their life FULLY to GOD.
Before even preaching a word, I had a strong sense from the Holy
Spirit to open the ALTAR up before the song service was complete.
Hannah led us in worship to the song, “I Surrender All” by Lincoln
Brewster. One young man came forward to SURRENDER his life fully to
the Lord. It was a beautiful picture of what surrender looks like!
As many of us prayed with and over him he cried out to the Lord as
he received CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND LORD of his life.
