In this pic below, you can see Hannah anointing the children with olive oil to pray prayers of dedicating them to the Lord. Hannah gave words of prophecy over the children as Evangelist Mario Venzor looked on. Soon after this pic, Hannah Teal and her friend Makayla Boyte jumped in and also began to lay hands on the children to pray for them right after I had just finished telling the story of how God rescued Hannah from destruction. All of that prompted me to have her pray over the children. We saw many touched by the power of the Lord. I wasn’t able to be in the field this time, since I was training; but there were healings and powerful encounters. Jennifer Teal was able to experience for the first time placing her hand on a man’s leg in need of healing and she said she felt miraculous power flow through the man’s leg, but this year the beauty of the trip was in seeing the Kingdom of God expand.
The Evangelism opportunities transpired in this way: One part of our team taught and trained at the mission while the other part of our team went out to minister through face to face encounters within restaurants (two to four each time we ate), soccer fields (fourty-five led to Christ at a soccer field the team was just passing by and Mario wanted to stop and share and then another seventeen between two other soccer fields) while in the Television Station Studio there were nine staff converted. The last day before we were to catch the flight in San Pedro while in Tela, an entire high school football team was brought to Christ that was running along the beach and Mario led thirty-six young men to Christ. There were other encounters, but these are the ones I was made aware of. Even as we were about to baptize at the river one young teen came forward to be saved and baptized so Pastor Dario led him to Christ. David Lindsay and Dewayne Bell were asked to baptize the Children. I was given the opportunity to baptize yet I yielded to Dewayne since I had preached a brief message the night before on Baptism out of Romans 6 and we prayed over each kid individually. Dario said that the month of January 2019 has been the most baptisms he has ever remembered since hosting mission groups. I think these baptisms added up to over twenty so far in January. A special thanks to Tim Smith our trip leader for diligently planning all year long; as well as our brother Gary Lively helping us along the way. Team Members that participated: Tim Smith, David Trapp, Mario Venzor, Jennifer Teal, Hannah Teal, Makayla Boyte, John McCormick, Dewayne Bell, David Lindsay, Hannah Bass and Whit Bass.
