Prayer Need

2/26/2016

Monday, February 20, 2016: I found out that Casey Stover had quit his job
a few days ago. He believed that our Lord Jesus has spoken to him to
launch out in faith for a new adventure in Him. I also believe it is time;
he is in a dead-end position there at Southern Steel Fabricators. He has
been there for four years and is a valuable employee. We are praying that
like Abraham launched out from Ur of the Chaldeas to find Gods place for
him that the Holy Spirit will also lead and guide him. His wife Jennifer
has a good job at this time that will help in the transition. Pray for him!

Also pray for our Brother and friend Terry Howard who is also in and adventure
into the future to find a new place of service to our Lord Jesus. Both of these
men need our support!

Whit Bass One-on-One

It happened on Monday, July 14, 2008: I met with Whit Bass for lunch today
for the first time. We had a one-on-one for me to mentor him. He is a young
man called of God that is one of the pastors at First Baptist Church in W.
Monroe, La. He has been baptized in the Holy Spirit but few people know it.
He wants me to take him through the School of the prophets. God has placed
many burdens on Him for people that he knows, his Burden is to bring life
to them. He knows also that he needs the gifting of the Holy Spirit if he
is to be effective. Now eight years later he has become an effective threshing
tool in the hand of the Lord. Every one is amazed at how God's Holy Spirit
rests upon him and  his family. We give thanks for this Mighty Man of God.

1. The persecuted Chinese Church is totally committed to planting
groups of local believers who meet in homes.
 2. The persecuted Chinese Church has no desire to build a single
church building anywhere. This allows the Church to spread rapidly.
The New Testament Church never built a building.
 3. Part of the Chinese Church's training is: How to suffer and die for
    the Lord.
 4. They teach missionaries special skills such as how to free themselves
from handcuffs and how to jump from second story windows without
    injuring themselves.
 5. Compare this to our Bible schools of education.

Sunday February 21, 2016: Testimony by Hannah Bass: She led a class
mate to Christ at Co-op School this past week.  She said the student
told her that he wasn't able to sleep at night.  In the course of
the conversation the student told her he was learning how to cast
spells on others and actually do it.  Hannah confronted the young
guy about the dangers and seriousness of dabbling with witchcraft
and then led him to Christ at school Thursday.  Please pray him.
His first name is Brock.

What it Means to Disciple Men

This is a testimony given to me by Michael Stephens Monday, February 15, 2016. Michael operates Cajun Valve in Monroe Louisiana; they repair valves in an industrial setting. Michael has had a guy named Ethan Hunter that came to work for him about nine months ago. And over the past nine months Michael has shared the gospel with him in different ways and various times as they go through the workday, also sharing Scriptures with him. Ethan started a conversation several months ago by asking Michael if he was a Christian; and Michael assured him that he was. Ethan said, I thought that you were, because you're a different type man. Over the past nine months he's asked me questions about the Bible and the Christian walk.
Two weeks ago, in the evening he got a text from Ethan saying, "I am tired of living, like I am, I need Jesus." Immediately Michael called him and asked, "What is going on?" He said, "I don't know, I was driving along down the road after work and something came over me and I had to pull over on the side. Michael told him that it was the Holy Spirit working on him, the Holy Spirit is opening your eyes and removing the blinders and he is bringing conviction over you. You are a sinful man, we are all sinful. We are born into sin, we need to see and recognize that we sinners and we need Jesus. The Holy Spirit is bringing conviction over you. His reply was, "I don't know what to do." Michael's reply was let's prayer together and they did. "You go home tonight and seek the face of God, praying, "God continue to open my eyes, continue to show me light, continue to show be true." Pray and tell him that you want to be saved and you want to be his child, you pray that all night seeking God. Michael shared Scriptures with him that God has made a way for us to come to him through Jesus Christ. We can go boldly before his throne and seek him. Michael shared with him that Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Ethan was frightened and didn't know what was happening; there's a war going on in his soul, God's calling you and he wants you. Satan does not want you to seek God; when you come in tomorrow we will set down and talk some more.
The next morning he came in and they set down in the office and Michael shared Scriptures with him about salvation and what Jesus Christ has done for us. He talked to him about the importance of the blood of Jesus Christ and that we must be covered with that blood. He asked him, do you want to be a man of God and give your life to Jesus Christ; he said yes. They prayed together asking the Lord to save him, to open his eyes and continue to show him truth, to grow him.
Michael had to leave the office and Ethan went to work; a few minutes later Michael received a text saying, "I share the gospel for the first time and it felt good." Mike knew that he had been talking to Stephen, but Stephen opposed the things that he was saying. He said I don't know whether I was doing it right or not. Michael assured him that he needed to keep up the good work that he would be in battle for the souls of men. The Bible said when you share the gospel you will be persecuted. He told Ethan that he was a young Christian, a baby and Satan comes seeking those that he can devour and that is a new baby Christians, newborns, this is what he wants to devour. This battle takes place in our mind. Michael said in the future we will set down together and I will teach you how to be a warrior for Christ and be a strong man of God and how to fight the enemy. They meet together every Friday morning early. Ethan is in his 20's, new wife and baby.

Becoming a Friend by Michael Stephens

2/17/2016

It was Saturday morning February 13, 2016; Randy White and Michael Stephens had set up a display at Mac's Fresh Market to sell tickets for the annuals Sportsmen's Banquet in Farmersville. I went up to purchase tickets for Robby and the boys; and visited for a while. This is a story by Michael Stephens that came out of that morning.
A little while after I had left a man walked up and started talking to Randy but Randy couldn't remember his name. Then Michael and Randy talk about the problems with remembering people's names but how easy it is to remember faces. While they were talking another guy came up and asked what they were doing. Randy began to explain to him that it was a fundraiser for XMA. As he was talking to Randy, Michael thought to himself I know this guy. As this man was talking to Randy he pulls out his wallet and took out a five dollar bill and hands it to Michael and said "Here." Michael's response was what ticket do you want to buy; he said I don't want anything, I just want to give it to you all. Michael thanked him and put the money in a box as Randy continued to talk to the man. He reaches back in his pocket and pulled out two more $5's and hands it to Michael and said here, here's two more $5, again Michael thank him for the donation. As Randy continued to talk to him, he reaches into his pocket, pulls out his wallet and counted out the remaining money it was $29 and said here this is all my money. He said take all of it, Michael said, "Are you sure that you don't want a ticket?" He said I don't need it, I don't need the money and I don't meed the prizes. I just found out yesterday that I have cancer, it's all in my bones and all in my body and I'm not going to live much longer.
The man looks at Michael and the hat that he was wearing had, "Cajun Valve" on it and he said don't I know you and Michael response was I know you, your name is Chuck. They had not seen each other in 17 years; they had worked with each other at Industrial Valve. This was right after Michael had got out of high school. They talk for a few minutes and is they did Michael was thinking that they needed to pray for Chuck. There was a pause in the conversation and Michael spoke up and said Chuck do you mind if we pray for you. He said, "No I don't mind." So both Michael and Randy laid hands on him to pray for him but as they did he said, "I have drank a couple beers." Michael said we don't care about that we just want to pray for you. We just want to let you know just how much God love you. Michael started praying for healing for his body but he felt more led to pray for his spiritual well-being. They prayed that he would feel the presence of God, and that he would feel God's love, that he would feel God's peace and emotional stability. He thanked them and then he left; he went and sat in his car that was parked in front of the store.
Michael began to remember our conversation where I mentioned that Jesus called his disciples "friends." And how important it was that his disciples knew that they were friends of Jesus. He thought the power of being a friend over and over again. Michael would play the word over in his mind, "Brother, Friend" and when Michael would say friend it seemed that there was power and that word. The word brother has a reverence to it but when somebody says friend it becomes a different level of relationship. As he thought about this, Chuck has cancer and he may die, I prayed for him and now he's gone, he needs a friend. Michael was thinking, I was his friend when we work together. Michael looked over to where the car was and it was still there. Michael said to himself, "I have got to go talk to him." Michael walked over to his car and tapped on the window, he was still sitting there wiping his eyes, he had come to tears. Michael said, "Chuck I don't know if you have love and support from your family but I would like to be a close friend to you and I will give you my phone number. You call me, I don't care if you call me every day or any time you need to talk I want to be for you through this. I will be there to help you, to pray with you and encourage you. He said, "Men I need that." Michael said I mean what I say you call me. He talked to Michael about his struggles with believing God. Michael talked to him about having a relationship with Jesus Christ and it being more than just going to church. Michael told him that we could pray for healing and Jesus can heal your body right now, but you're still going to die. Every person that Jesus healed on this earth has died and gone and they are an eternity somewhere. We want to pray for you and God wants to heal you but first he wants to heal your heart most importantly. Our attitude toward Jesus Christ should be, I'm going to serve you whether I live or die. The most important thing right now is that God wants you to know that he loves you in a spiritual sense at this time more than a physical sense. Michael shared the gospel with him. They talk again for another 20 minutes and Michael encouraged him to call. Whatever you need I will be there for you.
When Michael got home that night he had a text from Chuck, it said that he got more from the prayer than any prize that you may have. He text Michael back a few minutes later and said I always thought I was saved until I talk to you today. After our conversation today I know I am saved!

Healing in a Place of Death

2/16/2016

Casey is an ex-convict who has turned his life over to the Lord about five years ago and the Lord has worked miracles in his life since then: I have an older brother who is at the age of 40 and has done 23 ½ years of his natural life in prison. Not all at once but this last trip was a 10 years sentence. Out of this process of incarceration he has become a hardhearted man. But there is no man that God cannot touch. Our father died in June 2002; my brother was incarcerated at that time and I was in Arizona raising my daughter. Many, many, years went by before I was able to visit his father's tombstone. I was able to go once with my family to the grave site and let some things go.
Since my brother has been released from a halfway house and is now living with me, we took a trip to Arkansas to see our little sister's newborn baby. It was on my heart to take my brother to see his father's grave which would be the second time for me and the first time he, this was on January 24, 2016. It was there that I saw a hardhearted man's heart break; we both had something to say to our father. He wasn't the best of fathers but he did what he could, I feared him more than I loved him, I had respect for him. I see a lot of my father in myself as I raise my children. I don't mean to use bad language but my father was a "Hard ass." I guess it was a good thing because it made me the man I am today. My children have very good manners, their good kids and I think a lot of this comes from my father. To be there with our father, I and my brother was able to deal with things that we had inherited from him, hate, rage, resentment, and pity. I know it is hard for my brother to express emotions but I expressed my emotions in front of him. I hit my knees and started bawling and I told my father that I forgave him. When my father was dying, he asked me if he was dying, but I never told him that he was. I have carried this around with me for 13 years. This bothered me and I let it go at the grave site in front of my brother with tear filled eyes, I told my father my peace and I left my respects.
My brother wrote a letter to his father and buried it at the grave; he let me read it. It said, "Father you would be so proud of Casey and how he is raising his family." I never got approbation from my father but my brother told me that he was proud of me; this meant a lot, I think his hardheartedness is being chipped away
I left my brother alone with his father at the grave site and when my brother came to the car he was bawling. I looked at my brother in his face and he said, "I need a hug." I held my brother for the first time in many, many, years, we wept and we wept and I saw a hard heart turned soft. As we left that grave site going down a gravel road in Arkansas both of us felt a little lighter with a spring in our step and a little more respect for one another.
He has been in a cage most of his life and I think it was good for him to see that this grown man can express his emotions and still be a man. In my opinion a man that can express his feelings is more of a man than one that can't. I hope it did some healing for him as it did for me. This is just a little testimony of what the Lord is done in my life and through my life I pray the Lord is reaching my brother; because I don't want to go through this life without my him. God gave me a brother for the purpose of going through this life together. As I have him back, I pray that the Lord will chip away even more at that hard heart and bring him to our Lord Christ Jesus

Kay Frost & Gary Lively

2/4/2016

It was Wednesday January 6, 2015 Kay Frost E-mailed me (Robert Lindsay)
at 7:22 AM about a vision that she had of Gary Lively. I quickly read
it and forwarded it to those on the trip down to Honduras. Without YIF
they were unable to open the E-mail. On Thursday January 7, 2016 the
team went into Olinchito to minister at the prison and later minister
to the Celebrate Recovery group. Following that the team went to a
restaurant for dinner. While there Randy White decided to see if he could
 down load his E-mails.

This is what he read in Kay Frost E-mail. "I saw Gary fighting with
shield and sword against forces of darkness, slaying and slashing
the misty dark spirits with your blinding sword and shield. "O" in
the picture you had on jeans and a light orange t-shirt. As Randy White
looked up this is what Gary Lively was wearing all day Thursday.
