Tuesday February 26, 2019: Dear pastor Robert from Kenya

Calvary love to you and yours. We have seen the faithfulness of God. We have been in the remote places reaching out to the people there. Most people gave their lives to Jesus. We had 60 people, men and women who came to the Lord as we preached from house to house. It was 5 days work. However, the people there have not Bibles. We are now praying that we can get any good Samaritans who may donate cash to buy Bibles here. We as well intend to move there with another brother to rent out a house to stay there so we can do can establish them in the faith. Please pray with us that the Lord. May provide 3 Bibles and that we may get a rental house there to be able to minister to the new believers. Bye

Monday: February 25, 2019: My name is Keith Evans, the pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Rayville. I was at a funeral today for Bob Pochea my wife Lesa’s father. It was held at St. Pascal’s Catholic church on North Seventh and West Monroe. As the priest finished his message, he was told that a couple of the grandchildren wanted to speak; which he allowed. Two grandsons got up and shared about Bob their grandfather. Afterward Robert, Lesa’s brother got up and spoke and then sat down. The next thing that happened Robert slumped over in his seat. Keith and his wife were down front; Robert was in front of them and he had died. Keith got up and went around to where he was slumped over laid hands on him praying that the Lord would have mercy on him; save his life. A nurse came and began giving Robert CPR. He did not have a pulse nor was he breathing. Keith got up off of his knees; with about 300 people present and asked them to start praying; that God would have mercy on him and spare his life. His pulse came back and began to breathe. The Lord spared his life; they transported him to St. Francis where they implanted stents. The Dr. told the family that only one out of 100 persons that had experienced this survived. The priest came up to Keith afterward and said my name Father Pat, my Baptist friends call me brother Pat. He said; you did right by getting up and having everybody to pray, and I appreciate that.
Tuesday, February 26, 2019 two doctors visited with Robert Poche-a and said you should be a dead man. Give Glory to God!

Thursday April 2, 2015:
I received a call from Tim Smith this afternoon; he was excited about what the Lord did for him Wednesday evening. He and two Celebrate Recovery brothers with him to St. Francis hospital to pray over any one that would let them. These two brothers have struggled with addictions one was liquor the other drugs. The Lord spoke to him saying he needed to get these two men outside themselves and in the ministry. He told them to meet him in the lobby. On the way to the hospital he became militant as he prayed in the spirit and found a new expression in tongues. As they met in the lobby the three of them had prayer together. Then outside the elevator a lady recognized one of the men. They asked if she had someone that they could pray for; she did. This led them on a journey into different hospital rooms and also over to Glenwood hospital. They had a great time and the two men were amazed at what God did for them. Tim's response to me was, "People in the hospital are desperate for prayer!!!"

Saturday, March 28, 2015: Ginger's brother, Russell Rainbolt who is suffering from Parkinson's for over 20 years is in the hospital and Ruston, Louisiana. He is in the last stages. Today as we visit him, he had rallied somewhat, talking and eating. As I visited with his son Richard, he mentioned that he was reading spiritual things. It was Randy Clark's book on healing. This led us into a long conversation about the work of the Holy Spirit. Before we left, he asked me to go in and pray for his father. This was a conversation that caught me by surprise. I never knew that he was interested in spiritual things but a recent health problem has motivated him in that direction.

Whit Bass' Note from Germany

Sunday, February 24, 2019: Hello Robert, from Germany
One of our team members David Wheeler met a man who escaped Iran after professing Christ on a recent trip in Germany. I will get more details soon but what I know was that he escaped Iran and once he reached a boat something went awry - he actually had to help rescue some children while swimming for safety.

His name is Reza; he has a wife and child still left behind in Iran. David Wheeler has remained in touch with him. He bought David’s cab ticket when he himself was very poor since fleeing and living in Germany as a refugee.
We had the opportunity to anoint him and pray for him today. To pray for emotional healing and for the rejoining of he and his family. It was an honor to do this. I told him he was my hero.

Anyone who is willing to lose all for the sake of their faith in Christ is truly humbling to meet.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015: I visited with Jerry at McDonalds this morning. We talked about the dangers of going back to the law. While there the Lord impressed on me to give the store manager $100.00. Jerry and I had prayed for her last year, she is a very hard-working woman of color. She was taken back by this generosity. I told her that the Lord wanted her to know that He Loved her and that He was pleased.  When I left, she was weeping with gratitude with her head in her arms on the counter. It is a wonderful feeling that comes over you when you obey the voice of Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit.
Later today Jerry and I visited with Casey Stover. We talked and prayed about two things. What is happening at Ouachita Baptist Church and the possibility of him going to work for another company? This would involve an increase in salary and about 10 miles less to travel to work one way. The Lord is really blessing Casey and Jenifer; they are also planning a vacation with his daughter Laney. Jerry prayed for Casey.

Saying and Doing

I received a call this afternoon from Charles Evans who I met at John Rea's men's meeting. As I was talking about me and having a pastor, friend; Charles walked up to me and said I do not have a pastor, friend. I could sense a desire in him and told him I would like to buy his lunch, so tomorrow I will be visiting with him; hearing his story.

Tuesday March 17 2015: I visited with Charles Evans at noon today. We talked an hour five minutes before we even ordered. I wanted to hear his story; he is quite a man of God and is involved in Grace Place where they feed 300 people on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He said that the Lord wanted him to relate to me. So, I will be moving forward with Charles to see if God is in this relationship. We spent two hours and 45 minutes together which ended in my Van with prayer and worship.

Charles never followed through in his commitment! It is not the saying that bears fruit; it is the doing!

Tuesday, March 10, 2015: This morning I went with Jerry to Christ Church for a men's meeting where Marion Boggs spoke; he was full of energy and did a great job. In the last point of his message he talked about affections. People need affection. He had just come back from Atlanta where he visited with his son who graduated from Ranger Academy. While stopping for gas a lady came by, open the door and put out a six week old puppy in the cold rainy weather. Not caring too much about dogs he was over and picked up the puppy and drove four hours to West Monroe with the dog and his lap. After telling the story he bent over, unzipped a duffel bag and picked up this puppy to show us. We couldn't believe that the puppy never moved or whimpered for an hour, it was just listening and his voice. What a great illustration of affections.

After leaving the airport I stop by the post office to mail off some CDs of the conference. As I moved toward the door, simultaneously a young lady headed toward the door. I was rushing to open the door for her and she was rushing to open the door for me. I told her that I couldn't go in before her, it wouldn't be right, and if my mother saw it she would whip me. She said "I was brought up that way also, to respect my elders, you go first." She was very friendly and walked beside me as we walked toward the main part of the post office. Her name was Allison, she worked at a dental office; she was wearing scrubs.
As we got to the next door a young black man opens it and let's both of us in. I told the young man that he was a gentleman and a scholar and thanked him for letting us in. There was a long line. He and the young lady wanted me to go ahead of them. I told them the story that I'd had heard earlier about the little puppy being picked up by Marion. There was a need for everyone to have a feeling of affection.  The young black man spoke up and said that he had never gotten affection from his father. I asked him what his name was; he said it was David. I told him I could remember that because I have a son named David. I asked him if he was named after David in the Bible, he said no I was named after my father who lives in California. I said to David I believe the Lord wants me to pray for you; could you meet me in the hallway after we finish. He said, "I will wait on you." Then he spoke up and said I left my wallet in the car I need to go get it. As he came back, he did not get in line he just waited at a counter outside the door. Then I spoke to Allison saying, "I would like pray for you also." She said, "I would like that."
After mailing my packages I met David and said let's wait on Allison. When Allison came out, I asked her what I could pray for her about. She said that her back was bothering her. I told her that I have compassion for her because I was having back problem as well. I asked Allison if I could lay my hands on her shoulder, she said yes, I was raised in a Pentecostal church. I told her that I also was a tongue talker myself. Allison, David and I joined hands and I prayed for her. The Lord touched her and she went on her way. I asked David what I could pray for him about, he said that he wanted custody of his son and he wanted to be a good father unlike his father. I prayed for him and God touched him. As we finished up a lady walked up to David and I with tears in her eyes, and introduced herself. Her name was Mrs. Calhoun and she wanted us to pray for her. I guess it is because I talk so loudly everybody could hear what I was saying. Mrs. Calhoun told us her son was in OCC and that she had to get a money order and mail it off for her son. She did this because she loved him. As she was talking, she was weeping and said pray for me. The three of us joined hands and I asked David if he wanted to pray for Mrs. Calhoun first; he said no, I want to hear you pray. I heard the heart and compassion of a loving mother her son and it touch David and I as we prayed. All three of us were weeping. When I finished Mrs. Calhoun hugged David and embrace me compassionately with tears. She went on her way. This was real Holy Spirit race relations. David said, "When you walked into this post office you brought God's Holy Spirit with you and it has touched everyone here." I told him that I discipled man and would like to take him out to lunch and pray for him again. He took my phone number and said, "I will call." He said, "I work at a detail shop around the corner and want to give you a free car wash.
