TESTIMONY

I just wanted to give you a word of encouragement. Wednesday Darrell got word of a friend’s granddaughter suffering with some type of female cyst - his heart was filled with compassion for them because he knows what he would feel -
Like if it was Brooke (his daughter), he went to the prayer room at our church for the first time ever and had prayer - heart felt prayer -had tears in his eyes as he told me. Later that night in Baton Rouge there was no cyst detected - it either ruptured or miraculously disappeared. I told Darrell his prayers were answered.

Then an elderly couple I love dearly called on me for prayer - the husband was in the hospital - couldn’t breath and she was headed to the ER with diarrhea. I typed a prayer commanding those illnesses to leave their bodies - as of last night they were home and on the mend. 🙌 Thank you so much for the message - you encouraged us with - we needed it - seeing God working.

Saturday, February 22, 2020: At noon today, I met with Bryan Ponsell for lunch at Subway, he gave me this testimony.

Bryan's sister called his mother Melanie saying that she was having problems. She decided to move out of situation she was in and go to Mercy Ministries. Both Melanie and his sister got on the fast-track to make this happen.

So, on the evening of Thursday the 21st Bryan and his mother were able to minister to this sister. Bryan minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to her and asked her about rededicating her life the Lord. Bryan walker her through a prayer to dedicator her life to Jesus. Bryan and his mother will continue to disciple her.

This brought great joy to Bryan.

It happened on Monday, July 14, 2008: I met with Whit Bass for lunch today for the; we had a one-on-one for me to mentor him. He is a young man called of God that is one of the pastors at First Baptist Church in W. Monroe, La. He has been baptized in the Holy Spirit but few people know it. He wants me to take him through the School of the prophets. God has placed many burdens on Him for people that he knows, his burden is to bring life to them. He knows also that he needs the gifting of the Holy Spirit if he is to be effective. Now eight years later he has become an effective threshing tool in the hand of the Lord. Everyone is amazed at how God's Holy Spirit rests upon him and his family. We give thanks for this Mighty Man of God.

Sunday, February 16, 2016: As far as "He Still Rescues" ministries goes, Hannah and I have had 2 opportunities the past 2 Sundays to minister in Churches and we have 6 more opportunities to minister on Sunday mornings in the weeks to come. We are seeing breakthrough and hunger in the eyes of those we have ministered to. Hannah also has an opportunity to join the worship team for Celebrate Recovery at FBC Rayville in the weeks to come. There services are on Thursday nights.
I have ministered in recent days to some severe situations involving those who have received ministry that have had Sexual abuse, drug addiction, witchcraft among other traumatic issues in their background. I am choosing to keep details somewhat vague for confidentiality purposes. Each session has ended with a "SMILE" on the face of those receiving yet in the beginning of the session those anticipating ministry experienced stomach pains and severe anxiety. Project 41 Ministry (Trafficking Ministry) is now in phase 2 of the next biblical foundations study and the ladies I've continued to minister to are moving forward and receiving greatly from the Lord. We are seeing breakthrough and victory. Any are welcome to join us on the Second Tuesday evening at 6 pm of each month at Project 41 building for our worship nights. I will be leading the night with a word from the Lord along with someone designated to lead us in worship. We've been blessed to have Bradley Bridges and Naomi Holder in the past 2 worship nights. All are welcome to join us. We covet your continued prayers and are grateful for the Lord's protection and provision.

Friday, February 14, 2020: At noon today, I met with David Trapp and Andy Chase at Zaxby’s restaurant. We had a great visit! Andy has been on the fringes of what we are doing at Covenant Life Fellowship; but desires to someday be a pastors doing the things we are doing. Andy has a history serving in Iraq and also clearing the streets in Lebanon. He has quite a story of how God has protected and dealt with him; his desires to grow in the Lord.

While visiting, we had an African-American (Frederick Zeigler) pastor come up to our table to tell us about it his church. He serves as pastor of a church on Avant road in West Monroe Louisiana. After a time of sharing with us his vision; I asked Frederick if we could pray for him.

All the man that know me say, "You have to watch Robert; he will throw you, Under the Bus.” So, I turned Andy and said; I need you to pray for Frederick and his church. He looked at me surprisingly and said, “I can do that”. He bowed his head and said a very God-given prayer. When he had completed, I turned to Frederick and said, "David Trapp is going to prophesy over you." David looked at me; bowed his head in silence calling on the Holy Spirit within him. David gave Frederick and encouraging, edifying prophecy. This was a God moment. Then both of them laughed later and said, “Robert did it again; he threw both of us under the bus.”

Thursday, February 13, 2020: Testimony by Caliph Ndemo
We have been having house to house evangelism in some village here in Kenya. So many people gave their lives to Jesus. to God be the glory for His great works. We came to this home and we shared the gospel of Jesus. The man and the two kids who were in the living room listened to me as I shared to gospel about the Lord who does all things. As we were about to pray His wife who was pregnant came shedding tears and told us she has been waiting for labor pains and it was 13 months now. We led her to the Lord in repentance prayer. My wife and I laid our hands and called the baby to come out. That evening as we left, she started feeling the labor pains and was taken to hospital; thank God she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Hallelujah!!!

Tuesday, February 12, 2020: A few weeks ago, I went to Mac's grocery to pick up a few things; as I checked out the cashier asked if I needed help getting things in the car. I told her that someone may need to bring the electric scooter back inside. At this time very little was going on at the checkout counter so she followed me outside and placed the groceries in the car. I asked her how she was doing; she said my hip is bothering me. My reply was, “Is it okay if I pray for you,” she wanted prayer. I didn't sense anything unusual happens at this time.

Today as I went back to Mac's grocery to pick up a few things; the young lady who looked to be about 18 was checking me out. The lady that I had prayed for came over to speak to me; she said that she had very little problem with her hip since the time I pray for her. I said praise the Lord The 18-year-old said, “I always welcome prayer.” I asked if I could pray for her she agreed. I asked her if she was married; she was not. I prayed that the Lord would give her a husband they would be faithful to her, take care of her, love her all the days of her life.

"The Power of Perspective" part 2 by Charles Simpson

The Power of Perspective

GET PERSPECTIVE
We often go to the Scriptures for strength and hope. Lately, the Lord has called my attention to Genesis 15, where Abraham is presenting his frustration to God. His crisis is that his name means “father.” Yet he has no heir for which to leave his resources. Abraham is in his tent praying. Then the Lord directs him to go outside.
“Look now toward the heaven and count the stars if you are able to number them, so shall your descendants be.”

I am struck by several elements of this story:
To gain perspective we need to get outside of the immediate situation and see it from a different perspective. The Lord can help us do that. He may use a friend, a pastor, or a counselor. We need to spiritually, mentally, or physically step away. We call vacations “getting away.” When things got very difficult for my parents, they would “get away” for a few days to gain perspective. Dad remained a pastor in one church for 35 years; he kept perspective.

To gain perspective we need to “look toward the heavens.” Looking down will not help. The Lord always calls us to look up to Jesus “the Author and Finisher of our Faith” (see Hebrews 12:1-3). Abraham was praying inside his tent when the Lord called him out to look at the stars. As He stepped out into the clear desert night, He could see millions of stars from horizon to horizon. There was no limit to the view. The Lord removed the ceiling from his eyes to look into infinity.

What we see makes a vast difference. What an astronaut sees is indescribably different from what a child sees on a playground. And what God sees is a whole other matter. The closer we get to His view, the more likely our victory. Heaven changes our view of earth; we can move from earthly trauma to heavenly peace.

We gain perspective from a long-range view. The Lord promised Abraham that his descendants would be as the stars in number. It would not happen immediately, but it would happen, and it did. Abraham gained a new long-range perspective that brought faith, hope, and endurance. The short term or short-sighted view may be grim, but the long-range view is different when viewed through the lens of faith. Jesus told the disciples to be patient and possess their souls (see Luke 21:19). He spoke these words to them in the context of difficult times – crisis.

We gain perspective by believing what God said. Abraham believed God and God counted him righteous (see Romans 4:3). We all need a promise that we have received from God. Usually, it is one that He showed us in the Holy Scriptures. Such promises need to become personal and substantive in our own hearts, as it was with me when I received Jesus as my Savior, or later when I entered the ministry, and many times after when I faced a challenge. Some of those promises are found in John 3, Philippians 4:19, Isaiah 40:28-31, Psalm 27, and other wonderful passages.

The key to perspective is entering into the promise by faith. We must “lay hold” and seize the Word with an unyielding grip. Then we become “prisoners of hope” (see Zechariah 9:12). Our point of view becomes stable and secure in His covenant Word. We are no longer “tossed about.”

My best friend in high school was also named Charles. We were co-captains in our final football fame for the county championship. Before we walked onto the field, we shook hands and with hands clasped we said to each other, “The game is ours.” The other team was larger, undefeated, and it was their home field. They ran up and down the field but never scored. In the final moments we held them at their goal line. We won by playing with an unyielding perspective. The entire team held perspective.

We can gain perspective through giving it all to God. As God had promised, Abraham did receive his son, Isaac. But one day God called on Him to sacrifice his son Isaac on Mt. Moriah. The Lord tested Abraham. It is a difficulty story to read, let alone live. But Abraham obeyed. He took his son to the mountain and left his servants at the base.

Together Abraham and his young son started up the mountain. As they went up the mountain, Isaac said, “You have the fire and the wood but where is the lamb? Abraham answered, “The Lord will provide.” Abraham actually believed that if he took his son’s life, the Lord would raise him up (see Hebrews 11:17-19). But as Abraham bound his son to the altar and raised the knife, the Lord prevented him, and showed him a ram caught on the thicket which he sacrificed instead.

Abraham was so sure of the promise that Isaac would produce descendants that he was willing to give him up. Amazing. At that very place he called God, “Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord will provide.” Perspective comes when we say, “No matter what is required of me, the Lord will provide.” Believing brings a perspective in our most trying hours.

Last evening, we had a mission follow up meeting here at my home. I also received three testimonies at that time.

3. Then later this same day I had the opportunity to minister to an elder lady who now has Alzheimer’s. I was visiting with her adult daughter and felt led to pray with the elder lady. The elder lady saw me take my anointing oil from my shirt pocket. When I began to lather the oil on my hands the lady got really excited and began clacking her lower jaw to her upper jaw. I asked the daughter, is she speaking in tongues? The daughter replied yes! I was amazed at how the Holy Spirit was bearing witness between the two of us and how much she began to worship the Lord. She reached over after speaking in tongues for a few minutes and hugged my neck and kissed me on the cheek. It was a moment I will never forget!!! It was as if her mind cleared up while we worshiped and prayed together.
