Wednesday, February 22, 2021: Another testimony by David Trapp
While David and Betsy Trapp were in Fort Lauderdale Florida visiting with her daughter Becky, David had an opportunity to give a testimony while dining with several of Becky's friends. During the conversation Becky's friend made this statement out of the blue. “I have never seen an angel; have any of you ever seen an angel. Betsy spoke up and said David has seen an angle, so he began to relate this story. David was returning from South Carolina where he had attended an auto (auction; he didn't purchase a vehicle on this trip. As he and a driver were returning, they had encountered a severe storm, it was blowing the car. David had a teenage driver on this trip, while he was laid back resting his eyes. This girl was a heathen; she spoke up and said Mr. David, Mr. David; there is an angel on the hood this car. David thought, what is this girl seeing? He on unreclined the seat, he looked up and sure enough there was a nine- or 10-foot angel on the hood of his car. They were going down the road at about 55 mph and there he stood, David could see his backside and his right side. He stood there are 30 to 35 minutes. He was standing there protecting them. He was tall, magnificent like a military man. David realized later that he was a Ceraphim; He had two sets of wings. An awesome visitation! Praise the Lord! David and Betsy were on the way home from Florida's from visiting with Becky their daughter. The plane was full, he and Betsy both had isle seats. David remembered that David Lindsay had prayed for an encounter on the way back to California and God answered his prayer. So, David began to pray the same prayer. This young lady came and sat down beside him; She was a hippy type young lady. She was a bartender. David struck up a conversation with her asking her if she traveled alone, she said she did. She like to go to a lot of different places; it was easy to find a job because she was a bartender with a good personality. David continued asking her questions to get to know her story. He asked about her parents who had been separated from each other and were now back together. David told her that he and his wife had been separated for a while and were back together now. He asked her what her dad's name was; she answered David; and you remind me of him. She had never been married and she did not have any children, she was 39 years old. She dad a boyfriend and hope that they would marry at some point. He was a boat captain; carrying millionaires out in the Gulf in different places. It was one of these cruises that they met each other. Eventually David asked her can I pray for you she said yes. As he began to pray, she held his hand with her hand on the other hand on his arm. As David prayed, she began to cry; David continued to pray and she continued cry. She said, “This is a miracle of 200 people on this plane I am sitting with you;” she said, this is got to be a God thing.” David asked her about her relationship Lord; she said she had received Jesus as Lord when she was a child; she said she would never forget this day and hugged David neck. David was thankful to God for this opportunity; knowing that he was right where God wanted him to be at that moment. These God moments he will never forget. Praise God! Wednesday, February 24, 2021: a testimony by Trace Mayo
Trace was working at the barbershop in downtown West Monroe went two man came in for a haircut. But all the barbers were booked up the rest of the Day. Trace thought to himself that this would be a good opportunity to share Jesus Christ with these two men; so, he invited them to come after the closing hour. The they came late and Trace started cutting their hair and sharing Jesus. He could tell that this was a God moment because they were hanging on every word that he spoke to them. Trays was crying in the barbershop as he was talking to him about Jesus; they were hanging on every word he spoke. God was ministering to these two men and also to Trace himself. Trace invited them to church. These two men were contractors from Idaho that movie all over the United States to do their work. They thought it was a random barbershop that they chose but it was God ordained. After he had cut their hair to three more people came in; he made it extra hundred dollars that evening. They came to church with him more than once; he could tell the God was drawing them. He invited them on Sunday to a first step class where they introduced people to Jesus. During that time both of them said they wanted to be followers of Jesus and be baptized. So that morning Trace, himself baptized both of these men along with another man. Both of them knew that this was the hand of God working in their life and that He had a future for them. Praise the Lord! Wednesday, May 25, 2016: Testimony by Gary Lively: Whit Bass and I had been invited to pray with someone at the home of Robert Lindsey Wednesday, May 25th. I arrived in Monroe early to meet up with Whit at St. Francis to pray (James 5:15) with a lady who had cancer before we headed to Robert's. We were disappointed to find out the lady we were there to pray for had been released from the hospital. We had some time to spare and i remembered a person in my family that was struggling with addictions and as a result in his marriage (prov. 13:15) was suffering. I called this person and asked if he wanted to meet us for prayer. He agreed and we decided to meet in the parking lot of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. We arrived there before he arrived and found out Mei Powers was in the prayer room praying for different needs of church members. Premie Joseph pulled up and walked in to join Mei in prayer. Soon I received a call, it was the person we were waiting on asking if his wife could join us. We got excited that we were going to have the opportunity to pray over this newly married couple. When they arrived, we began conversation about the various struggles that people go was thru and how his behavior was affecting his wife and marriage. Soon Premie and Mei came out and began encouraging his wife and joined us in encouraging them as husband and wife. Whit asked this person if he was born again (Jn. 3:3) and explained that absolutely nothing was going to work out for the glory of God if not. No true freedom (Jn 8:36) comes outside a redeemed life thru the blood of our savior Yeshua. He explained he had prayed a prayer when he was young but his life had never bore the fruit (matt 7:16) of a truly converted and redeemed person (1 Jn. 2:15-17). We held hands and began to cry out to god on his behalf in the middle of the parking lot. He started crying out with his own voice for Jesus to save and purify him. His wife was weeping for her husband as well. It was a beautiful time together believing god for restoration and deliverance. We arrived late to Robert's but full of hope and encouraged because of the church service in the parking lot of the church building. Please do not get these confused. You are the church (1 Cor. 12, Eph. 2:20-22)!

Hannah’s Testimony at Chick-Fil-A… Hey guys its Hannah! I have another testimony for you to read. I really hope this helps you in your walk with Christ because Jesus is real. He is NOT dead and neither is his power or miracles. Sooo! Over a month ago, I was at the Chick-fil-a in West Monroe and I was honestly just blessing people, seeing whom God could touch there. There was a woman who was leaving, and I could tell she was hurting on the inside. And so I felt impressed by the Lord that she feels like a failure; “let her know I’m proud of her and that’s she’s doing a great job with her kids.” So that’s when I decided to walk out when she and her kids were walking out and I said, “Maam, I just feel like the lord wants you to know you are doing a great job with your kids and that he is proud of you and loves you. Could I pray with you?” She was shocked I think and she said no for prayer but at least I could share that encouraging word with her. So a little while after I was just chillin’ with my dad outside of Chick-fil-a she came over and said “I just want you to know what you said really meant a lot to me. I needed to hear that.” The Rest of this story came to my dad 3 weeks or so later… Whit’s part… So I was helping out with a local church in West Monroe with a student retreat weekend recently. While serving as a bus driver for this event for the teens, I came to know the host homeowner of this event. He and I were visiting over the course of the evening. After a good while of our visiting, the father asks me… “Were you and your daughter at Chick-fil-a late one night about 3 weeks ago?” To this question I responded yes. This man proceeded to tell me that his daughter was the girlfriend to the son of the lady that Hannah shared the encouraging word to. It gets better. According to the host homeowner he said the lady shared with his wife that she was so taken back by what Hannah said that she had to go home and research who “those people were” that shared the encouraging word. Hannah had given the lady a ministry card with our name and webpage on it. The lady read that I had served at First West after visiting our webpage. She knew someone that worked at First West. So she contacted a friend of hers that serves at First West to make sure that we “The Bass Family” were legitimate or trustworthy people. According to the friend that works at First West she confirmed that we were good people. Here is the reason the lady had a hard time just accepting that Hannah was impressed by the Lord. This mother that Hannah encouraged at Chik-fil-a lost her husband over 2 years ago. Ever since she lost her husband she has prayed continuously that the Lord would make her a good mother since she was raising her children without her husband. So when Hannah confirmed to her that the Lord impressed on Hannah’s heart to tell her that she was a good mother it really touched her deeply. The mom after hearing this word from Hannah wept as she drove home that night. The host homeowner’s wife was also moved by Hannah’s obedience to step out in faith when Hannah shared her personal word of encouragement with a total stranger. The wife of the host homeowner shared with her husband that she desired to have more boldness like Hannah. Then the host homeowner’s daughter that dates the son of the mother Hannah encouraged said this about Hannah. “Daddy, that girl is Hannah Bass. She hears from Heaven.” These words were very encouraging to hear because so often we step out in faith and never know whether we were able to bless the person or not. In this case the Lord blessed Hannah and I both to hear how the simple obedience of encouraging a mother really was an impression that came to Hannah from the Holy Spirit. In His Service, Hannah and Whit Bass Tuesday, May 24 2016: Another testimony by Whit Bass; the other night Whit, Aaron and
Hannah Bass, was at McDonald's. Hannah started singing to the employees after 11 PM, after the store closed; for about 30 minutes. She gave prophetic words to three different employees. One young man stood there and wept while he received her words and prayers. Revival is here! In Jesus Service Whit Last Wednesday I went out to help distribute food in Bawcomville / West Monroe at new Hope worship center church.
I had Mr. John McCormick and Davey Trapp join me for evangelism training. I also had Mandy Brakefield work alongside me. My wife Michelle also joined me and served by giving food away and smiling and making eye contact to those receiving. As we were trying to begin and get started; we were seeking the Lord on how to get started. Then Mandy Brakefield said to me, I’m getting a pain in my knee. (Word of Knowledge) So I then asked if anyone in the line had knee pain. Sure, enough a young man had pain in his knee nearby. This opened the door for us to pray for him to be healed of his pain. I told Mandy to pray for his knee to be healed and she did and he had no more pain. I had an opportunity to pray for another person with back pain and they received healing also. Then Mandy waved me over to share the gospel with a black family. A black lady allowed us to share the gospel with her and she prayed to receive Christ. Friday, February 12, 2021: Lane and Kiley Eubanks came for a visit and prayer. In less than two weeks Our Lord Jesus has done great things for them. I had them hold each other tightly; then Lane to pray for Kiley; then Kiley to pray for Lane. I emphasized to Lane; it was his job to love Kiley as Jesus loves the Church. I then emphasized to Kiley that she honor Lane as the Church honors Jesus. I was recently invited to preach at my home church that I grew up in. LAKE LILLY BAPTIST CHURCH. I noticed a different spirit in the church. The lady playing the piano is a first cousin to my grandfather. She played the piano with fervor and talent. Lots of energy. I began to have streams of tears going down my face. I had been awakened at 3:50 AM that morning. One of the things I felt the Lord brought to my attention to speak was that I needed to tell them that just as a child looks up to their earthly father or mother and learns by watching - the Lord Jesus wants us to look to him as an example of how we should pray for others. I used this concept as a teaching and equipping opportunity. I told the congregation that when Jesus prayed with others it was generally very short prayers and command prayers. For example; Jesus would say get up take up your mat and walk. Or be healed.
So, going back to the end of the worship time: My grandfather has requested that my daughter Hannah sing the song at his funeral “An Uncloudy Day”. So, my daughter Hannah learned to sing and play the song for my grandfather this past Sunday before he died. My grandmother said that my grandfather had tears streaming down his cheek as she sang this song to him. I’ve been concerned about my grandfather’s Salvation. Please agree and pray with me that he will truly know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Before Hannah got up to sing, she was trying to adjust her guitar and get it ready. So, she wanted me to stand up and talk so that there wouldn’t be an awkward long pause of waiting. As I stood up to talk to the people; I became broken before the Lord. I wasn’t able to say much without crying and emotion. I confessed to them that this was very out of character for me. After Hannah sang her two songs I walked up to the Pulpit and laid my Bible there. I walked down off of the platform and I began to talk without any notes. The Lord Jesus filled my mouth and I spoke for at least 30 minutes without any notes. I never did get into my sermon. I had actually typed out a front and back page of some quotes that I had heard from some conferences this past year. One of the stories that I shared from this past year was one where the young girl age 14 prayed for her first person to be healed and she saw the person healed of shoulder pain. From that point on the girl began chasing cars down to pray for them. The piano playing lady had tears forming down her cheek during my msg. Her husband has a very academic mind. In times past it seemed they were not as open to receive when I preached there. They attended Seminary Apologetic Conferences in the past. This time seemed different. Maybe It’s because the current interim pastor there is open to the supernatural. I was told that this man (husband to the piano player) was sitting in Sunday school class in excruciating pain and then he noticed this presence Come over him and all of his pain left immediately. This happened in a Baptist Church. Hannah walked up to end the message with an invitation song. When she was done singing and I stood in the back of the church to greet people on their way out, my aunt Karen said to me... “When Hannah sang her last song, you could feel the Holy Spirit swirling over us in the atmosphere” ... |
