Monday, March 17, 2014: This morning I received a call from Joey Art; I met
Joey at Car Wash West. I had been teaching on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and
was excited about the things that were going on. I began to talk to him about
the Lord, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of prophecy. I told him that
I was teaching on this gift and imparting to others the gift of prophecy. In his
mind he was objecting to what I was saying. He equated it as telling the future;
but when I mentioned that it was edification, exhortation and comfort he was
taken back and had never heard this. Then he told me that he was an Assembly
of God preacher. I can hardly believe what he was telling me. So today he calls
and says that he has been studying the subject and that I was right. He wanted
to know where I found the definition of prophecy, so I read to him first Corinthians
14:1-4. I invited him to my next teaching session.
I thought that this was quite unusual that some one going to a Baptist Church
would be instructing an Assembly of God pastor on the gift of prophesy!

Sunday, March 16, 2014: This morning I stopped by to pray with staff and other
prayer warriors at 9 AM. Scotty Sanders the interim executive pastor came in
and sat down beside me and we had a good visit together. I had mentored him
for about a year and a half before he moved to Flower Mound, Texas. At that
time. he had offered me the senior's pastor's position at the church. I chose not
to go in that direction.
At the beginning of the service I was talking to Neil Powers when Eric Bledsoe
came up to speak. It was awkward because I knew he wanted to talk with me.
During the worship service I sensed that the Lord wanted me to pray for him
and encourage him. He had recently lost his job at the University and has been
unable to find an equivalent position. I went up put my arms around him prayed
for him and prophesied a word of encouragement, he thanked me. What an
exciting time to be living in, I don't remember this much excitement during the
Charismatic movement.

Saturday, March 15, 2014: Can you keep me informed on the progress of
the book? This is definitely a book of yours that I want to read, and it's one
that I'd love to refer my friends and family to. You have been a pivotal part
of my spiritual development (I read your emails daily!), so I'm eagerly
awaiting this latest book of yours!
God bless, Laura

Monday, March 10, 2014: At noon today, I met with Cliff Bouwel at the Waffle
House to encourage and pray for him. John, I would like to catch you up on
this story and the challenges ahead to restore this friend. I met Cliff a little
over a year ago. He was a coworker of Tim Smith; Tim shared with Cliff about
the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is something that Cliff had been praying
for a long time. He said that Marvin Gorman had prayed for him to receive
but as yet nothing is happening. So, one evening Tim Smith, Mike Clark and
I gathered around Cliff and prayed for him and he received a mighty baptism
of the Holy Spirit. He had a remarkable experience that was undeniable. He
left speaking in tongues. In the days that followed I would visit with Cliff and
pray for him and we would also pray in the spirit together.

Tuesday, March 4, 2014: One of the stories that I would like to relate that has
taken place in the last several weeks relates to our Brother Tim Smith. For
several years now; Tim has been active in Celebrate Recovery at First Baptist
Church in West Monroe. And because of the lack of leadership he is being
recognized as the leader. They have asked him to take this position. In talking
to me about this, he said, he didn't want to take this position without the church
knowing his stance on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy
Spirit with tongues. I said to him that they might not accept you as the leader
if they know all this. But it was something that God had put in his heart to do.
He had a meeting with around 12 of the celebrate recovery members and told
them of his experience. They had several questions but still wanted him to
be the leader. Dwight Munn, the pastor over celebrate recovery was not at
this meeting so, Tim went to see him personally in his office and told him of
his experience. Dwight said that he would have to speak to the executive
pastor before he could give him a decision. Later Dwight met with him and a
granted to him the leadership position providing that he would not promote
the baptism of Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues at those meetings. He
would be free to do so off-campus. To me this is a milestone decision. Dr.
Utley who is the interim pastor at this present time spoke from the pulpit that
he believed in speaking in tongues and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. So, they
could hardly do otherwise.

Sunday, January 26, 2014: Robert,
Just thought I would share….
On my way home from work tonight, I was picking up some groceries at Super
One for my family.  The store was extremely crowded with long lines.  In front
of me was a man in his thirties with his girlfriend.  He was wearing an old Army
BDU (battle dress uniform) top, and I struck conversation with him about it.  It
turned out that he was enlisted in the Army National Guard.  As we talked, he
began share with me that he was disabled from an accident in Afghanistan.  He
was ran over by an Army vehicle, and he showed me where his upper body was
crushed and broken.  Tearing up, he then confessed to me that he lost his best
friend there, and he then began to tell me of his present torment with PTSD
and his inability to sleep at nights due to combat and his accident.  I felt strongly
that I needed to pray for him, and I asked him if I could.  He immediately said,
“Please do” and I did.  I prayed and asked our Lord to heal him in his present
circumstances and also to intervene and make Himself known to the life of this
young man.  Afterwards, he thanked me and asked me where I went to church.
All said, I really believe his confession tonight was not unto me as it was unto
the Lord.  I just happened to be the ambassador present.
In Christ,
Andrew R. Magee

Wednesday, January 22, 2014: I met with Randy White and Gerald Brinkley for
breakfast. We discussed the past mission trip and future trips.
At noon I was at Piccadilly to meet with Mr. Adams; while waiting, Randy White's
x-daughter-in-law came by. She had worked at Capital Bank and had helped me
with a checking account for Covenant Life Fellowship. She was with a friend; she
spoke with me and as she was about to walk off; I stopped her and said, "Let me
see your hand," she offered it to me and the Lord had me to prophesy over her.
It took only about 30 seconds, tears popped out of her eyes, she and her friend
hugged. She went away encouraged. Praise the Lord! Mr. Adams didn't show up
he; had a bad night. He is 90 years old and these things happen. God had sent
me there to encourage this woman.
