Saturday, May 28, 2016:
Iran, Jason and I prayed as laborers to the Lord of the harvest on our drive to a nearby trailer Park. The second door we knocked on was answered by a lady, Brenda who said that two years ago this month her sister died in a house fire on the same lot, and one year ago this month she was released from rehab after 35 years of drug addiction. She made mention that we happened to show up on the anniversary month of those instances. As she began
opening up to harbored anger, unforgiveness and broken relationships with her daughter and grandchildren a woman and a man drove up. Then a man from inside the house with an amputee leg came out. During the time we spent together with the four people, Brenda, Jimmy, Ray, Kathy and Rusty would make mention of appreciation that we came. Cathy's behavior gave me the impression she was under the influence of some drug. God's grace was present during this encounter with people who wore the signs of life battles-dirt balls neck creases, ragged scars, profane language-not derogatory, but just normal to their vernacular, dirty clothes with holes. It felt refreshing that they would share with us. "When I hear Baptist,  I think hypocrite, but y'all aren't like that." After we prayed with them;
Brenda mentioned that Christians are supposed to reach out to others; thanking us again for visiting them. We invited them to CR; then leaving with a presence of peace of the Holy Spirit. How exciting it is to join God in the adventure of his kingdom come!

One of the first people we prayed for was a mother and daughter that I had bumped into on Thursday at the Family Dollar Store. The mother and daughter formerly attended FBC Calhoun were Whit had served as youth pastor. The mother remembered him and went on to share that her daughter had been in an abusive relationship. I had opportunity to pray with the daughter that very day in parking lot. The daughter had PTSD. She was back today and allowed our group to pray for her. She actually fell under the presence of God and said as hot as it was today; she had chills from the Holy Spirit. Please continue pray God's protection from her former boyfriend. God blessed her today!

Hannah’s Testimony at Chik-Fil-A…
Hey guys its Hannah! I have another testimony for you to read.  I really hope this helps you in your walk with Christ because Jesus is real. He is NOT dead and neither is his power or miracles.
Sooo! Over a month ago, I was at the Chick-fil-a in West Monroe and I was honestly just blessing people, seeing whom God could touch there.  There was a woman who was leaving, and I could tell she was hurting on the inside. And so I felt impressed by the Lord that she feels like a failure; “let her know I’m proud of her and that’s she’s doing a great job with her kids.” So that’s when I decided to walk out when she and her kids were walking out and I said, “Maam, I just feel like the lord wants you to know you are doing a great job with your kids and that he is proud of you and loves you. Could I pray with you?” She was shocked I think and she said no for prayer but at least I could share that encouraging word with her. So a little while after I was just chillin’ with my dad outside of Chick-fil-a she came over and said “I just want you to know what you said really meant a lot to me. I needed to hear that.”
The Rest of this story came to my dad 3 weeks or so later…
Whit’s part… So I was helping out with a local church in West Monroe with a student retreat weekend recently.  While serving as a bus driver for this event for the teens, I came to know the host homeowner of this event.  He and I were visiting over the course of the evening.  After a good while of our visiting, the father asks me… “Were you and your daughter at Chik-fil-a late one night about 3 weeks ago?”  To this question I responded yes.  This man proceeded to tell me that his daughter was the girlfriend to the son of the lady that Hannah shared the encouraging word to.  It gets better.  According to the host homeowner he said the lady shared with his wife that she was so taken back by what Hannah said that she had to go home and research who “those people were” that shared the encouraging word.  Hannah had given the lady a ministry card with our name and webpage on it.  The lady read that I had served at First West after visiting our webpage.  She knew someone that worked at First West.  So she contacted a friend of hers that serves at First West to make sure that we “The Bass Family” were legitimate or trustworthy people.  According to the friend that works at First West she confirmed that we were good people.
Here is the reason the lady had a hard time just accepting that Hannah was impressed by the Lord.  This mother that Hannah encouraged at Chik-fil-a lost her husband over 2 years ago.  Ever since she lost her husband she has prayed continuously that the Lord would make her a good mother since she was raising her children without her husband.  So when Hannah confirmed to her that the Lord impressed on Hannah’s heart to tell her that she was a good mother it really touched her deeply.  The mom after hearing this word from Hannah wept as she drove home that night.  The host homeowner’s wife was also moved by Hannah’s obedience to step out in faith when Hannah shared her personal word of encouragement with a total stranger.  The wife of the host homeowner shared with her husband that she desired to have more boldness like Hannah.  Then the host homeowner’s daughter that dates the son of the mother Hannah encouraged said this about Hannah.  “Daddy, that girl is Hannah Bass.  She hears from Heaven.”  These words were very encouraging to hear because so often we step out in faith and never know whether we were able to bless the person or not.  In this case the Lord blessed Hannah and I both to hear how the simple obedience of encouraging a mother really was an impression that came to Hannah from the Holy Spirit.

The other night Whit Bass, Aaron and Hannah Bass, Whit's 16-year-old
daughter was at McDonald's. Hannah started singing to the employees
after 11 PM, after the store closed; for about 30 minutes. She gave
prophetic words to three different employees. One young man stood
there and wept while he received her words and prayers.
Revival is here!

Our entire family has agreed to begin ministering at FBC Rayville’s Celebrate Recovery services on each Thursday night.  Just last Thursday, Hannah led the worship set solo, and afterward I stepped up to preach…as the service came to a close, she stepped up and takes the invitation time and it all just flowed perfectly!  I can’t put into words what joy and fulfillment fills a daddy’s heart when his children begin to step into their destiny and the destiny is unfolding before my very eyes. Our family is a picture of what can happen when a family FULLY SURRENDERS.  What appeared to be the end of your ministry and potential destruction of the marriage turns into your destiny and purpose; to be a source of hope to reach out to those who feel hopeless and broken.

Hannah and I have been afforded the opportunity to minister at Baskin Baptist Church numerous times while the church has been searching for a Pastor to take the place of Pastor Marion Spence. Hannah has had the opportunity to lead in worship there, while I have been privileged to fill the pulpit. Since we’ve been serving at Baskin there are a few “take-aways” that we’ve been able to witness. The newly elected pastor, Brian Rodgers, has been very bold by encouraging his congregation to step out in faith to put into practice what I’ve been sharing and preaching.  One recent testimony involved one of their church members obeying the voice of God and praying for someone in publicthat they did not know.  When the Baskin church member prayed for the person in public, they blessed the person in the exact way that they needed encouragement.  The people of Baskin have
been hungry for the word and they have exemplified such a sweet spirit!!  We are very grateful forthe opportunity to have served them in their time of need.

Pray for Andy Magee this Morning

Friday, May 20, 2016: This morning Andy Magee in Pineville Louisiana will be performing his first wedding. When Andy was a major in the Army, he hired a Staff Sgt. to be under his command and over the years the Staff Sgt. has looked to Andy for spiritual guidance. Since Andy has retired from the Army; the Sgt. has been living with a young lady; unmarried. Recently the Sgt. and young lady have been coming to Andy's home church meeting; and has come under conviction concerning the relationship. The two of them came to Andy asking him if he would do the wedding, and he agreed. Thursday as Andy was counseling this couple the Sgt. presented Andy with a real expensive watch. He said it was in gratitude for all that Andy has done for him over the years and being his mentor. The watch and this statement was a real encouragement to Andy.

A Testimony by Randy Causey

Sunday: July 13, 2008: I talked to Randy Causey this evening. The Lord
has opened many opportunities for him to pray for people who are
his costumers.  He told me of three in particular. One of these was in
the hospital with contagious boils. Randy went in and prayed for him any
way. Randy called back the next days to check on him and he had gone home.
He got a letter from his wife thanking him for coming by and praying for
her husband. Randy told me that on of the most significant things that
I taught him as we were going into the nursing homes was laying hands
on people and praying for them. That is where he learned how!

A Testimony by James Morris

Thursday night May 12, 2016 James Morris received a call from his buddy around 8 o'clock, who had been struggling. He has been clean for 3 ½ years and has now relapsed, he had gone on a five day binge, ending up in the hospital. He had gotten out of the hospital about three days earlier. He was weeping as he talked to James. Normally James would have talked to him over the phone but the Holy Spirit prompted James to go to his home. When he got there the friend started weeping again. James moves beside him; getting on one knee. James realized his insufficiency but the sufficiency of the Lord. There is nothing that he can do; his friend needed a touch from God. He told him that the only reason he was there was to seek God's guidance and the Holy Spirit in his situation.
James wanted the two of them to come to an agreement and prayer. He wanted his friend to cry out to the Lord for help and he would stand in agreement with him. His friend starts praying and James joined with him praying out loud; this turned into worshiping the Lord out loud. And as they did the presence of the Holy Spirit came into the room. Before it was over with they were walking around his house pray over his home very loudly and with authority. James is walking through the house praying in the spirit; the presence of God was all over the house. In that moment his friend went from being defeated to getting his confidence back; believing in the Lord. He began to confess over his house; his tears turned into laughter. As a Spirit of laughter came on them it became a glorious moment. James said;
"This is better than going to church isn't it." His friend's wife walked in at the end of their prayer time.
