Sunday, July 16, 2016: Testimony from Andy Magee;
Over the years, I often wondered where this family was. In my heart, I wanted to especially tell this girl thanks for her spiritual investment in me. This past week, I came to find out where this man is living today. It happened to be directly in my path between Monroe and Pineville. When stopping, the son answered the door (who I have not seen in almost 30 years), and he now lives as a single man with his father. In our time of catching up with each other, I was able to express that the greatest thing that occurred in my life was my born again experience and relationship with Jesus Christ. I shared a few testimonies of my spiritual journey, and I told them both “thank you” for your investment in me (especially his daughter’s). I could sense that this was sparking a very dim lit fire in both of them removing the cynicism and scars that they may have gained about Christianity and church over the years. I could tell that this was both a healing experience and a divine appointment. After leaving and later that same evening, the father talked with the daughter who now resides in Washington State and gave her my contact information. Below is what she emailed me:
“Andy, I'm in California at Disney Land. My daughter Chloe just graduated from high school. I called my dad yesterday and we talked for over an hour. Later in the day I called my dad again and was real with him about my life. You had just left his house. He told me what you said about me. I needed to hear it. Thank you Andy.”
