The story of what happened this week continues for Bob Brulty.
the management at Plymouth Tubing where Bob works sends him to Oklahoma to visit
one of their customers about a claim. When he got back they sent him to management
training. Bob isn’t interested in moving into management but the company is pushing him
in that direction. It is amazing what Godly principles and presence will do for an individual
in the market place and in life. This was the three gallon of whiskey a week guy. Our Lord
Jesus is a Redeemer bringing good things out of bad experiences. Praise the Lord!

Bob Brulty called and related this story. As he was coming out of Super I Market, he met a
homeless black man. Bob struck up a conversation with him. Bob ask him if he was hungry.
Then took him to have a meal then to the area where he lived. There were several occasions where Bob did things like this. Bob talk to him about Jesus and pray for him. One day Bob called me crying, the homeless man had stepped out in front of a car and was killed. He had not been drinking at the time of the accident. Bob and I prayed together on the phone believing that he was now with Jesus. Today Bob attended the man’s funeral in Bastrop. Bob was the only white face in the crowd. The preacher asks him why he was there. Bob was invited up to tell of his relationship with the man and also gave his testimony of being delivered form alcohol. Bob is now in heaven with this man that he led to Jesus Christ.
As I discipled Bob on of the things that I told him that I believed that Heaven would be similar to the tabernacle in the wilderness. There were tribes on all four sides with banner of each tribes name, Judea, Levi and the ten others; these were family's that were birthed and given  by the Lord. "In Heaven Bob; there will be a banner with your name on it, will you have any family members around you?" After this statement Bob became an evangelist with the Power of the Holy Spirit. I was amazed at how he had an ear to hear the Holy Spirit and do unimaginable things in God.

Testimony by Amy and Mei

On Saturday July 23rd. Mike, myself and Mei met at Glenwood to visit and pray with a
couple of people.  We were in the hallway talking with a dear brother in Christ when
a man passed us and sat down in a waiting area with some of his family.  The Lord
impressed upon Mei to go minister to this family.  Mei left us and went to talk with
this family.  Come to find out, their father was very ill and some important decisions/
treatment were going to have to be made in the next couple of days.  The daughter
said she had been trying to call her pastor for a while, but had not been able to in
touch with him.  They wanted someone to come and pray for her father.  Mei and
I were able to pray over this sickly man and his family and they were very touched.
I thank God for using Mei to boldly approach people who needed a touch from the
Lord and prayer that day.

I had sent this poem to Dr. John Avant that my 12 year old granddaughter had written to her father, my son Robby. He e-mailed me today and asked if he could use the poem in his sermon. Gabby is at my house and I asked her. She agreed. He will be using it on Father’s Day.

I Give My Heart to You
I give my heart to you
I know you'll take good care of it for me.
When you want my heart
it will always be open
(You won't need to use a key)
Please guide my heart with your voice
And when I need your help I can trust your choice
I give my heart to you today
But when I get married you will have to give it away.

At physical therapy today one of the therapists that had only seen me one time, came to the
door and nodded to me. I followed her into a room and she closed the door. She sat down
as I stood by the traction bed. Her face was red, she didn’t say a word. Then she got up, came
over and laid her head on my shoulder and began to cry. I don’t know this lady enough for this
to be happening. God hadn’t given me any clue as to what was going on. I began to say the
name of Jesus in prayer, then began to pray for her and then I began to prophesy words of
encouragement to her. After some time she told me that her sister was a missionary in Turkey
and had been arrested for murder. It was a trumped up charge because of her Christian belief.
In this Muslim country, for this charge, they could behead her. This was a very serious matter.
I am slow at getting to know names, but hers is Becky, and her sister’s name is Helen.

Wednesday May 06, 2009: As I went into therapy, Becky told me that her sister Helen was in the
air and on the way home. It appears that she has all of her luggage with her. In the service tonight,
Becky was on stage with the worship team. As we were singing the song, “There is Some Thing
About That Name” (Jesus) Becky was lifting her hands in worship.
This blessed and thrilled me.

Testimony from Kevin Nugent

My daughter, Maddie, went on her first Mission trip to New Orleans last week where
she participated in working at a food bank, sharing with homeless people under the
bridge and cleaning up areas of the Ninth Ward and handing out toiletry items. She
experienced the Lord in many ways but one in particular really spoke to her – They
walked up to a man sleeping on a cardboard box on the ground and as they approached
him, he heard them and woke up. Maddie and a couple of the youth began talking to
him and explaining who they were and their purpose for being there and asked if
they could pray for him. The man was excited to see these young people boldly
sharing the Gospel of Jesus with strangers and he told them that he too was a
born again Child of God and that he didn’t consider himself homeless because
his home was with His Father in Heaven but that he was just simply temporarily without
a shelter in this temporary life! They all prayed together and shared a time of praising
and glorifying God!

God's Grace Given to Andy Magee

The Lord continues to use Andy to impact the men of Grace Community Church in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Andy has been speaking to an average of anywhere from 12-17 men once monthly for over 2 years now.  The Holy Spirit continues to manifest His power through the Words that He speaks through him.  Andy is thankful and overwhelmed that He uses a guy like him.  His prayer to the Lord has always been to hear and know what it is that the Lord desires to speak to them about.  It is never about what he think nor what is trendy.  His ways are always higher than our ways.  The pastor recently texted Andy saying, “Andy, thank you for your spiritual fathering over the years.  I know our Father in Heaven delights in you.”  I praise God in that everything in me comes from our heavenly Father.  I am grateful.

A Message from Michael Stephens

This is a family that he knows who had their daughter  shot in the head allegedly by Kevin
Mathis and is still in critical condition. This is a cry of her mother who also needs prayer.

I have to honestly say that I'm angry! I'm angry that my baby girl was put in a situation where she was scare beyond belief and now lies in a hospital bed fighting for her life. I know his mother's heart hurts to, and I know he needs Christ in his life!!! I hope he finds Him!! Find the God, who spreads love, faith, hope, unity, and joy.  Although my number one priority is Kelly and her well-being, I am praying for the Mathes family… My petition is, I can be bitter or I can strive to be better if I am a person of faith, I must choose the latter option!!! Now, when I see people trying to live, I will not hate someone. First, God says we are not the hate. I will not allow someone to have that control over me. I want to be a person of purity and it is up to us how we proceed from here. TOGETHER! All colors, all religions, all ages, all socially economic people together, we must make a better place together through tough times. They have pray for my family, supported us and walk through the valleys and peaks of life with me. I shall not allow someone to make something this personal a platform for hate. No way!!!! I am not really from Franklin Parish, but the people here have caused this event to divide my community. I will not allow it to cause racial tension! Our small town and way of life may not be what it used to be. Ours a fight for her life! I am angry that I cannot do anything to make her better! I am angry that her young life hangs in jeopardy! I am angry at how this has changed her future! But I am more saddened by the lack of respect for human life, for the like of loving kindness to our fellow man, by the evident absence of God in people's lives! I have known grief, 28 years ago Trey and I lost our firstborn, a son Eddie, at 5 ½ months old, it was devastating, but God saw us through it. I have lost numerous other family members and friends. Thirteen months ago, Trey, my soulmate for the last 35 years was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and has passed away. I was devastated but God is seeing us through it. Now, this horrible, totally violent act against my child, I have every right to be mad!! But I have always preached to my children, "When faced with tough situations you only have to call on the name of Jesus who is close to you.

A Praise Report from Andy Magee

Chris, the homeless man from 3-4 weeks ago now has an apartment, a bicycle to get
him where he needs to go, and a construction job that is paying him $13 an hour.  He
has also found favor with his employer and continues to attend our church faithfully.
Coming from a horrible past which included sexual abuse by a neighbor, drugs, alcohol
abuse, and mental health issues, Jesus has saved and continues to deliver him.  He has
been overwhelmed by the graciousness and love coming from God’s Saints.

A Testimony from Whit Bass

Last week I had an opportunity to pray for one of my hospice patients, an African-American
lady. She is 93 years old from Winnsboro Louisiana. Whit shared with her about all the miracles that they had seen in Honduras, showing her the pictures. Her daughter from Dallas was there with her. Before he left, he asked the patient what he could pray for her about. She had severe pain in both knees because of arthritis and had it for years. He anointed his hands with oil, placed his hands on both of her knees; he began to ask the Lord bring his Power and Kingdom and healing on both of her knees. To cancel any generational curse; he commanded the pain to leave her knees. When finished praying he asked the lady to check her knees for pain. Her eyes were big, she looked at him then looked at her daughter; she had probably never seen anything like that before. The pain was gone! This was huge for someone who was 93 years of age.
