Sunday, July 30, 2017: Robert,

I had this newsletter completed before the end of Kingdom Kamp this week.  So,
I'm amending the newsletter with the following info.  We had 13 decisions made
that I know of by the campers.  Some Salvation's and other re-commitments.
Hannah is helping lead worship at her 4th camp this summer this weekend in
Bienville Parish and we are looking forward to taking her to Pastor Ron Philips
Church at Abbas House in Hixson TN - Near Chattanooga this coming Friday.
I will try to make you aware of a way to tune in if the services are streamed live -
The Student Pastor Seth Coleman said they are looking into streaming the
services by use of Facebook Live.
Here is the church webpage     http://www.abbashouse.com
Below is attached our newsletter then a schedule of the weekend at Abbas
House where Hannah will minister.
Please lift us up in prayer for safe travel and spiritual covering - Psalm 91
as we serve the Lord.  God Bless.

2012: I called Neil Powers this afternoon to set up a lunch date. He told
me that four men headed on a mission trip. They have come to him with
a desire for he and Mei (his wife) to teach them how to pray for the sick.
These are Baptist and don’t want their names to get out. He will have
several more sessions at his home.
Praise the Lord; he is becoming a discipler of men! He has caught a vision.

Wednesday July 25, 2012:  Today Caelin and I were to meet Robby and Caelin’s
two brothers at the “Tractor Supply Store.”  As we arrived, I got out of the van and
my path intersected that of a man named Reid Crider.  Reid was having trouble
walking, but when he got close to me he struck out his hand like I was a long-lost
relative, and began talking.  We stood in the hot July sun for a long time talking.
It is a long story that I need not get into, but he and his wife live in Birmingham
AL, and they are in the process of moving here to be near his son Dr. Steven
Crider an infectious disease physician.  Reid had two stents put into his heart
and veins replaced in his legs; he is wrestling diabetes and ten years ago had
prostate surgery.  As we talked, this verse in John 5:19 came to me and the
thought, “Is the Father doing something?”  So just before he left, I asked if I could
pray for him.  He replied, “I wish you would.”  The Holy Spirit gave me the words
to say, and I gave a strong testimony that salvation is Jesus’ name.  He thanked
me and we parted ways.  Was this a set up by the Father and the Holy Spirit?
Or an accident?

“Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective
for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted,
it is for your consolation and salvation.”  2 Cor. 1:6

While Michael was working, a man came to deliver parts for some equipment at
his job site.  As Michael struck conversation with the man, he began to openly
share about his daughter who was at stage four cancer.  After listening to the
man, Michael felt impressed to go out to the man’s vehicle and pray for him and
for his daughter before he left.  As Michael was praying, the man broke down and
cried, and Michael was able to share with the man about how he struggled in a
similar situation with his son and how God had delivered his son from a death bed.
Michael was able to share with the man that all things are possible with God, and
that just as God had delivered his son, He can deliver his daughter.  This gave the
man comfort and hope.  Michael later commented about how God is so willing to
use us in some of the most unexpected places and times.  Praise God for Michael.

In Christ,

Andy Magee

7/21/2012 – Joshua’s Baptism in the Holy Spirit. On Saturday morning, I felt
impressed by the Lord to pray for Joshua to receive the Baptism in the Holy
Spirit. Emily had been baptized in the Holy Spirit a few weeks earlier on Saturday,
June 23, 2012. Joshua had told me that he wanted to be baptized in the Holy
Spirit too. Now was the time! I went to his room and talked with him. I shared
some verses and gave some instructions. Then we prayed for him to receive
the baptism. Joshua then began to quietly pray in tongues and to cry and
laugh and to shake all at the same time. It was awesome! Praise God! I left
him there for a few minutes to pray alone and then came back to rejoice with
him. God is good! It was a wonderful time.

Sunday, July 15, 2012: I met a man in line at children's church as I picked up
Emily after service. He said hello to me and I greeted him also. He was familiar
to me, but I could not remember exactly from where. I found out that we had met
during Firestarters Class on Sunday morning about 5 months ago. He finished
the class and headed on to other things. Then, I remembered him. During that
class about 5 months ago, we were asked to turn to our neighbor and to
prophesy over them. I had turned to this man, Ulysses, and asked God to speak
to me. I saw a picture of a middle aged white woman with brown hair. I asked
God what that meant. I got the word 'important.' "You are important," I told him.
Then I told him about the woman that I saw and that I felt that she was
communicating the exact opposite to him. She was telling him that he was not
important. He said, "That is right on!" I knew nothing about him other than
that he came from a city about 1 1/2 hours from Redding.
We parted ways and I didn't see him again until today. He told me that
today he had brought his children to church for the first time. He was in line
right behind me to pick them up. It seems that he has been in a custody battle
with his ex-wife for three years and that he finally had all three of them with
him. Wow! I do not know all the details of his situation, but I was amazed at
what had happened. The woman that I saw was obviously his ex-wife and
she had been communicating to him that he was not important. God is good!

I was so blessed to be used by God this week. We had almost 25 people
at our Home Group on Saturday night. Praise God! And so many of them told
us how blessed they were by our family and by the atmosphere here. I
guess that they were really blessed. They didn't all leave until after midnight.
Praise God!

Love,

David

7/20/2012 – Joshua & Emily’s baptism

Praise God for Good News!!! Friday night was a night of great blessing for our
family. We decided to attend the Friday night service at Bethel Church. There
were some powerful testimonies and some powerful worship. The leader, Kevin
Dedmon, then called people forward who wanted to be baptized. Well, I had
been speaking to Joshua and Emily for over a year regarding being baptized.
I think that they were just too nervous. Tonight, we basically told them that
it was time. I walked forward with them and we joined a group of about 30
people to be baptized. After a brief teaching on baptism, the baptisms began.
Joshua was baptized and then Emily. Wow! It was powerful. Theresa Dedmon
spoke that Joshua had the Spirit of Wisdom and that Emily would be a powerful
woman of joy and of dancing. Praise God! They were both so excited even
though they were kind of nervous to be baptized in front of 1,000 people.

Monday July 16, 2012: At our Saturday home meeting, another young lady was
impressed upon me during our worship service. After worship, I called her out
and said that I felt like we should pray for her. She came to the middle of the
room and we all prayed for her. Many people had words of prophecy and
encouragement for her. I do not know very much about her, but she seemed to
be blessed and touched by God. Later that night, she wrote on face book a note
to many of us, "I was so blessed tonight, thank all of you who gave me a word.
You are complete awesomeness and I thank God for each one of you amazing
people that make my life so much richer and more exciting." Praise God!

Monday July 16, 2012: About 3 months ago, a group of siblings joined our
Saturday night young adult fellowship. There are 5 siblings in the family and 4
of them attend our meetings regularly. We have spent a significant amount
of time praying for a couple of them during group. They are the ones who
watched our home while we were away. They come from a broken home and
probably as a partial result of that example, two of the siblings have already had
broken marriages. Mary has become pretty close with one of the girls, who is
about 22 years old. God has really laid her on my heart recently. I have had
the strangest urge to give her a hug and a kiss and to say, "I love you." This
is very odd, but it seemed that God gave me this desire. During our meeting last
night, this young lady shared a prayer request that she did not have any money.
Suzanne felt impressed that anyone who desired was to hand her some money,
so we started piling it in her lap. Maybe $100. Not sure. She was a little
embarrassed, but so thankful. I felt that this was the moment that God had
made available to me, so in front of about 10 people, I walked up to her and said,
"God has put this on my heart for over a week, so as a father, I want to say that
I love you." Then I went over to her and hugged her and kissed her on the
cheek. (Suzanne and Mary were both in the room.) She was embarrassed
because of all the attention, but said that I was the closest thing to a father
that she has ever had. Mary later told me that she said that she had never
known her real father and that her step father was a cruel man. She can't
ever remember being told by her father that he loved her, so my action was
very meaningful to her.

Monday July 16, 2012: This has been a good week in many ways. During our 4 th.
of July party, last week, I felt like God spoke to me to meet with a young man
named Justin. He doesn't come to our group regularly, but was there that day.
I sat with him for some time during the barbecue and chatted. This past week I
contacted him to see if he wanted to meet for lunch. He said, "Yes." We met on
Thursday. He wanted to know what was on my mind. I said, "Nothing. I just felt
like God wanted me to spend some time with you." He was adopted from South
Korea by a white couple as an infant. His parents divorced when he was
only five. He has been a part of Bethel Church his whole life. He seems to have
insecurities and/or challenges that I am guessing has to do with his broken
family. Nothing dramatic happened during our visit, but he did share a few things
from his heart and I ended by praying with him. He has been trying to contact
his birth mom in Korea, but has had no response yet. I will see if the Lord does
something more with this relationship.
