Pastor,
As we head for home this morning I wanted to let you know that our amazing Lord did a great work in married couples during our visit to Mexico. Couples are leaving with a new hope and an encouraged future through Christ driven directions. Only by the love of Jesus have we been so blessed to run after our calling as we are doing now. How amazing it is to work in our heavenly Fathers kingdom for His good!
Your spiritual son,
Michael

From Glinda & Ken Moon

Wednesday, August 31, 2016: Glinda Holley started out this morning, to go to Monroe to mow some yards, Ken and I both are recovering from being sick, knowing we needed to pray before we left the house. We prayed for strength, we praised Him for the day. Also, we asked, for God to put someone in our path today that we could tell them about Jesus's love. When we got to our first yard, we mowed the front; went to the back yard to mow, within a couple of minutes, this man was leaning over the wooden fence trying to get Ken's attention. Ken noticed him and went over to talk to him. He shared with Ken, how he had just gotten laid off from work in Alabama where he had worked for 25 years with a gas company. He had moved to Monroe where he was originally from and bought this home. He told Ken as of right now he was living off of his savings. Ken was able to share Jesus's love with him and also mowed his yard as a gift. Our God definitely answers prayers. Ironically the man's last name was Hope. God is truly an amazing God.

Power's Family Miistry Up-date

We wanted to share an update on our ministry that is currently in process.
Near the beginning of the year, we decided to pursue setting up a nonprofit with the purpose to raise up true sons & daughters of God all over the world.
Our vision is to help believers find their purpose in Christ through teaching and discipleship. We believe that in Christ there are many mighty warriors that just need to be awakened to the power they posses so they can walk in their true calling. Not long after making the decision to form a nonprofit, we were contacted and asked if we would like to take over the leadership of an existing nonprofit instead of forming a new one. The Lord has opened up this door for us and we are asking prayer from our friends. The organization will be going through some restructuring and will soon be renamed. We will provide more details once this process is complete.

The ministry work still continues on. Here is a quick summary of what is happening. Opportunities have opened up for teaching/training through churches, small groups, and online media. A training curriculum is also being put together and will hopefully be complete in August. Also, we have had numerous opportunities to meet with people for one on one discipleship.

Thank you all for your support and prayers over the years. Please continue to pray toward this vision. We are blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful community of believers.

Wednesday, August 24, 2016: Encouragement of Testimonies from Tim Smith.

I shared earlier this year (maybe March) of requesting my coworker, Nate Newton to pray for my left foot that had awaken me during the night with pain and I was unable to tolerate placing my weight upon arrival to work. Nate prayed and the pain was fully relieved. Now to all those skeptics of present-day miraculous work of our Lord's Holy Spirit supernatural manifestations I say take your empty argument elsewhere as my real world/time experience of Heaven's Kingdom coming down negates your denial of Yahweh's Power. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2Timothy 3:5 KJV as Charles Simpson has stated "A man with experience is not at the mercy of a man with an empty argument"!

Gary Lively and I prayed for Linda Godina in St Francis ER yesterday evening anointing her with oil. The Sweet Peace of Jesus descended into that room like a gentle fragrant dew that rested upon us into the parking lot. The request for prayer came from Linda's daughter in law Brandi.

In early June Nate and I prayed for Bobby and Brandi Godina's six-year-old son Braxton prior to an expected second open heart surgery for a heart valve problem. I learned yesterday that the Doctor scoped his heart, finding valve of concern to be in good condition and no surgery needed! Praise and Glory to the Most High God! Bobby's comment caught my ear, "It was like a miracle"! The request for Braxton's prayer came from my daughter Heidi who shared with Brandi how God touched her life through prayer.

In early May, Nate and I prayed with my daughter Heidi prior to her scheduled spinal surgery for bulging discs in her neck. Yesterday Heidi told me that when she had surgery in May that the surgeon didn't find a bulging disc, but did address a bone spur. Then she went on that Brandi had shared that Braxton was calm through his procedures with no high blood pressure issues he had previously and no surgery needed after Nate and I prayed for him. Then, she's telling me Brandi asked if we could pray for her mother-in-law Linda who within the past few days has been hit with reports of multiple tumors discovered in her body.

This chain of events started with pain leaving my foot through Nate's prayer. No skeptic's argument can touch the fact that I was limping before prayer but walking without pain after! By extension I submit that the personal experiences by the people in these described events have impacted them in a way that prompts them to seek The Holy Spirit's impact into their loved one's lives as well. All Glory to our Lord of miracles!

John 9:25-27

He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” He answered them, “I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?”

It Happened on a Wednesday

Wednesday, August 24, 2016: My daughter-in-law Rhonda Lindsay wanted to buy my lunch for my birthday, I requested the Subway. She and I had a good visit and she shared the things of her heart with me.

After visiting with Rhonda, I went to Walmart store to pick up things for Ginger. As I was going down the aisle there was an obstruction ahead and a man and woman were walking toward me so I waited for them to get around the obstruction. As he approaches, he spoke to me and we carried on a conversation. Can I say in my heart that this is the will of God the Father for me to engage him; His name was Mr. Easterly; a well-dressed man who was just a little bit younger than I. Mr. Easterly had just had surgery on his right eye; it was cloudy and he needed healing. I asked him if I could pray for him; we grasped each other's arm and I prayed for God to heal him so that he could see with both eyes. He and his wife thanked me for praying.

As I exited Walmart, going to my van, the last item to place in it was a watermelon. As I reached over to get it a young Spanish man said, "Let me help." His name was Joel José; he said that they were biblical names. In the back of my Van, one of the children or grandchildren had placed two balls and a bat for small children had had been there for a long time; I needed the room. I asked Joel if he would like to have these items and he said, "Yes," he had a small son. Joel was from El Salvador, a very nice man. Was this the Heavenly Father saying something to me about blessing him? I concluded that it was and asked him if I could pray for him. He agreed; my prayer was basically that the Lord would help him to be a good husband and a good father for his children and lead them in the ways of the Lord. This was a God time for both of us.

Testimony from Andy Magee

Sunday, August 14, 2016: This is a testimony from Andy Magee that happened just after he spoke at the Power's home meeting.

After leaving a wonderful home meeting, my son and I stopped to get a bite for the road.  When getting out of the car, I quickly noticed that (1) it was dark, (2) there were no people around, and (3) I was being approached by what looked like an angry man with an agenda.  Among my quick conclusions was that this may become a bad situation, but God causes all things to work together for good according to those who love Him (Rom 8:28).  Do I run or do I take courage and dive into my fears?  I take courage, immediately greet the man, and then begin to strike conversation with him.  He was just released from prison, his family disowned him, and he had nowhere to go.  This type of situation is very difficult for people like him.  Think about it…..no car, no money, no job, nowhere to go?  While in discussion with him, I pray continually for words of knowledge/wisdom and seek God in this situation.  In talking with him, I realize that it is because of his repeated actions that his family has disowned him.  I then ask him if I could pray for him.  After praying for him, he is less guarded, diffused of his anger, and receptive.  I prayed that he would recognize his family’s love for him, and that he would walk in humility towards them to help heal the scars that he inflicted upon them.  After this, he says, “Man, you are right.  I need to get this straight.”  God freely gives wisdom to those who ask in faith (James 1:5).  I am grateful.

Nicholas Rainwater's Testimony

7/17/2021

Wednesday, August 17, 2016: I had the opportunity to visit with my great nephew Nicholas Rainwater who flew in from Thailand to support his mother and for his stepfather's funeral. Nicholas has been in a group with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). He was in Nepal; travel to Thailand; a group out of Dallas Texas called Pathway paid for him to come home for a week. He will be leaving Sunday to go back to Thailand then to South Korea. He is extremely excited about what God is doing. He gave me this

testimony that happened in Thailand.

Nicholas and the team were on a hillside village in Thailand, this village was completely isolated from the culture in Thailand. It was an old school village. They lived is housed on stilts and kept the animals below. The team started singing and worshiping the Lord and the villagers started coming.  Nicholas gave his testimony then of a friend of his gave her testimony. They were with a family from England whose father gave a teaching; then he asked the villagers who wanted to receive Jesus as their Lord; every person there raised their hand; over 200 people. So, within an hour around 200 people receive the Lord. After that they prayed for the people in the village; asking for anyone who needed healing. Nicholas went to a lady who had yellow eyes; they had been infected for a long time and she could not see. Nicholas along with the team prayed for her. When she opened her eyes; they were completely normal and could see for the first time in a long period of time.

There was a lady that couldn't come to the meeting; she hadn't walked in two years. She asked for some of the team to come to her home to pray for her. So Nicholas went with part of the team to her home. She had not walked because her knees were hurting. She would crawl everywhere she went. They prayed for her and nothing happened the first time. They prayed for her the second time, something changed; so they had her to stand up. Nicholas prayed for her for the third time, she took four steps for the first time in two years.
