Testimony by Mei Powers

Several years ago, when Neil and Mei Powers was on a mission trip in
Brazil; a young lady came up to Mei for prayer. She had a problem with
her right leg and was unable to walk normally. Mei laid her hands on her
and prayed; the Holy Spirit touch this young lady, she fell on the floor.
She knew that the Lord was working in her life; so, she let her lay there
under the hand of the Lord. When she got up she was weeping; Mei
wanted to know what was going on with her. She said while she was
laying there it was like two hands had grabbed a hold of the nerves in
her legs and reattach them. She was so happy! Mei wanted to know if
her leg was okay, if God had healed her. This young lady started walking
normally; everyone around her was weeping for joy.

Last night was "Youth Night" of our revival at Boeuf River Baptist Church,
and what a youth night it was! Hannah Bass lead us in praise to God in
beautiful songs and Bro. Sam Moore preached a wonderful message! During
this service souls came to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! What
a night! Three more nights left, join us tonight as we welcome Fort Necessity
Baptist Church to sing praises to our Lord. Six young people received Jesus
Christ as their Lord.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever
you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”  Matt 18:18
I once met with a couple of men weekly for a breakfast meeting at a pancake
restaurant.  In doing this, my heart’s desire has always been to search the Lord
for what He would share at these meetings, and one particular week there was
just silence.  Wrestling with this, I surrendered this ministry to the Lord and met
this day with only one person who showed up.  As he waited for me in front of
the restaurant, there was another man present.  Assuming that maybe this was
an opportunity to proclaim the Kingdom of God and share, I greeted the man
and introduced myself to him; however, I later realized that this man was
demonized.  In conversation with the man, the Holy Spirit repeatedly whispered
one word to me…. “confusion.”  The man had much to say quoting his scripture
and speaking of the end times; however, the Holy Spirit repeated this word of
knowledge to me (1 Cor 12).  In closing, I was constrained at a point in my
conversation with him to bind this spirit by simply saying to him, “In the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you demon of confusion to be quiet.”  A force
came upon him knocking him backwards a few steps, and when trying to talk,
he was muzzled.  Panic ran across his face as he desperately tried to talk;
however, no sound came from his moving lips.  It was at this point that I was
able to share the Gospel with him.  Praise the Lord.
In Christ,
Andy Magee

A group of us ladies went to Crosley Charter School to pray for the school for
the coming school year. We began by praying for the principal, then the principal
carried us to each of the classrooms to pray. We asked the Lord to give them a
word of knowledge for each of the classrooms. The next day Mei received a call
from the principal, telling her that she felt the presence of the Lord as they were
praying; she knew it was going to be a good year.
Two days later at the school the principal told her about a one of the words of
knowledge that was given. In one of the classrooms one of the words of
knowledge was that there would be a girl that had problems. The principal was
able to encourage the teacher; that the Lord knew that there would be a girl there
with problems.
As they were walking around that day, they came across one of the teachers
and began to talk her. Mai received a word of knowledge that this teacher had
back pain and needed prayer. The teacher confirmed that she did have back pain
and wanted to know how Mei knew. She said that it was revealed by a word of
knowledge by the Holy Spirit; as they prayed this teacher began to weep, God
touched her.

I want to let you know that our dear friend, Gary Henley has gone to be with
the Lord. He had severe strokes and departed this morning. I have spoken
with Sharrol and Cherie and they are at peace.
As you know, Gary had Alzheimer's and we believe that his sudden passing
was an act of God's kindness to him and family. He was prepared!
Gary, did an outstanding job with IOM!
Gary's body was cremated
But his spirit is with Jesus.
Please continue to pray for his family.
There is no scheduled memorial service but I am sure that some with gather
to celebrate his life of service.

While speaking and ministering in Jonesboro Hodge last night at Hope Chapel,
I received a text from a family member that the young lady who I visited last
Thursday night with a Meth addiction relented and went to a detox location.
Please pray with me that she will follow thru with attending a spiritually based
rehab and that she will have such an encounter with her ABBA that she will
be forever changed.

In Jonesboro, last night I felt such pleasure and fulfillment preaching on the
Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit moved exceptionally. 3 teen boys were moved
to receive prayer then wanted to be baptized right that moment. Thru out the
church after the message the people turned and began praying with and for one
another. It was so rejuvenating to see this. Many stood to receive prayer for
more boldness. We then drove to a neighborhood home at night time to perform
a baptism in a swimming pool. This is what we began calling the New Normal
last night. Car headlights shining on the 3 young men as they each were baptized.
Hannah also ministered in song beautifully and God gave her a new
song while leading worship during invitation time. Beautiful Night of Celebration.

Michael Brakefield's ministry is called Hope Chapel. He seeks to reach those who
have been broken so that they may be restored. He was recently given a former
church building. Below are the pics taken of the baptismal candidates.

Last Thursday evening on August 17 while ministering to a mom and dad who
had reached out to me because of a wayward, 20 something year old - I received
a text from my wife at about 8:30 PM. I was still with the parents visiting when
Michelle sent me a text asking me if I could go and visit a young lady who has
been living in a storage building unit in West Monroe. My wife had not planned
on attending the celebrate recovery services in Rayville last Thursday evening
- yet when she did attend the Lord would arrange for her to be able to pray
with the mom of the young lady who has suffered with Meth and drug addiction.
I agreed to drive on over to pray with this young lady. Surprisingly the young
lady was receptive to me and our visit. We visited for at least 45 minutes and
she joined me in prayer before I left. There was also one other part of the story.
This young lady had an ex-girl-friend who brought crazy bread and pizza to her
as I was leaving. Its a great reminder that the church should always be generous
and not be out loved by the world. Its also a picture of how the enemy seeks to
keep each person in bondage.

Tuesday night Stephanie's son Tristen which is 9 years old and I was going
to Dollar General in Bacomville to pick up some batteries. As we were walking
towards the door a guy pulled up in a truck and approached us. He was asking
if I could help him out with a couple of items from the store. I agreed, I saw
it was as opportunity to minister. We brought the stuff outside and gave it to
him. He started to tell us about his situation and I shared the Gospel of Jesus
with him. Also, Tristan and I were able to pray with him for his situation and
also physical healing. I followed up with him and he attended church with us
Sunday evening.

I went to Ouachita Baptist Church where Casey Stover’s and his family
attend Church. This was a special day for his seven-year-old son Lucas.
Lucas was baptized and was so small that we couldn’t see him in the
baptistery. I also met his mother and family who had driven down from
Arkansas. Casey’s mother is a praying mother and is now reaping a
reward of her diligence to pray for her son and family. Little Lucas is the
smallest kid on the football team but one with the biggest heart for the
game. You should see this little fellow worship the Lord. Lucas will become
a mighty man of God.
