Jacob Lindsay's Testimony

9/30/2015

Wednesday, September 30, 2015: Dad,
We got a call from Jacob on Sunday, September 6, telling us that his shoulder had been dislocated during a basketball game. He was taken to the ER by the members of his YWAM teach for an exam. He was pretty discouraged. On Thursday night, we got a video call from Jacob in which he testified to healing in his shoulder. His roommate had prayed for him and he had almost complete movement in that shoulder and was almost pain free! Praise God! During our prayer time, Emily, our daughter, felt impressed by God that we were to clap our hands and praise God for his healing. That next Friday evening, Jacob contacted us to tell us that after several other members of his team had prayed for him, his shoulder was almost pain free and that he had just gone to play a game of basketball! Praise God! The following week, he was able to participate in a ropes course as part of his training activity! This is amazing since! Praise Jesus!

Jacob's Testimony:
"Hey, hope everyone is doing well! I have a super cool testimony to share. So, as some of you know I dislocated my shoulder Sunday night. Last time this happened I didn't have full range of motion for several weeks and then I wasn't able to resume activities fully for 3-4 weeks. However, this time......Well, I'll just say that tonight, five days after the accident, I played basketball! I've had several of my friends here pray over my shoulder this week and today the pain is almost completely gone, the swelling is gone, and I have full range of motion. I'm so stoked! All glory to Jesus!
And just a quick update, we only have two weeks of lecture left before we depart for outreach. The past couple of weeks have been amazing. We got to go to Yellowstone last week and this week we had an amazing speaker who spoke on the Holy Spirit. He had tons of amazing stories on hearing God's voice and witnessing healings. They were really incredible!
I'd appreciate prayers for our team specifically that we are safe as we travel and that we have boldness to reach out to people. Thank you all for your love and support!"

Healing in the Air by Whit Bass

Hi Whit,
It was very nice to hear from you.
I was hoping you might be able to come over to my house; I wanted to invite you for dinner or lunch.
I hope you enjoyed your trip and had a chance to explore the Bay Area.
I appreciate your kindness and healing my foot! It was really amazing and I got much better and the pain was gone. Please next time if you have any plans to come to the Bay Area please let me know. My family and I would be very happy to see you. Thanks!

The Perez'

This is a letter from Inez Perez to Whit and Michelle Bass; September 19, 2015.
We felt very blessed to have been included in God's work through his divine appointment. It was no coincidence that we met you guys in California, God was involved in all the details; it had been years in the making. And for that, I am eternally grateful! Billy was just sharing with me last night the experience he had when Whit prayed for him and the liberation he felt. There was audible screaming as demons of bondage left him. Things from the past that clawing at him were gone. I will say, I do see the burden that has been lifted off his shoulders and he is more in tune with the Holy Spirit. I've seen how he has been able to help a friend go through a very difficult situation and truth coming out of his mouth. His friend told me that he has something inside of him that makes him fearful. His friend of courses dealing with chains of bondage and is afraid of the light Billy carries. It was not that he wasn't ministering before Whit's God led prayer but he is feeling more of the Holy Spirit's effectiveness and his life.

Mitchell's Testimony

Wednesday, September 23, 2015: Mitchell is Stephen, my youngest son’s, best friend. Because Mitchell and Stephen spend so much time together, we have gotten to know Mitchell quite well. We love him greatly and treat him as one of our own. A few weeks back, Mitchell, a swimmer, was having breathing problems after swimming laps. Initially thought of as possibly asthma related, they later found an irregular heartbeat and found a deformation in his sternum. They stated that his sternum was growing inward pressing against his organs, and that he required immediate major surgery in order to fix this. Surgery was extremely invasive and required the implant of a metal rod that would push his sternum outward along with inward metal bracing wrapping his rib cage for support. The implant would remain until early adulthood or when the bones stopped growing, and then he would require another surgery in order to remove it. He did not know this, but physical therapy was deemed very painful as the bones grew against the metal, and he was told to stop all sports activity immediately. Two doctors ran tests and received the same results….irregular heartbeat, sternum, etc. Needless to say, this was a great burden on all who knew Mitchell.
With Mitchell’s situation at hand, in my heart I believed that only a miracle could fix this, and this was not anything that a shot or pills could fix. 1 Corinthians 12 was the scripture that came to mind….
4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
I asked Mitchell’s mother if they would consider bringing Mitchell to our prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings, and they came. Our church, the River Outreach Center, is a praying church. On Wednesday evenings, we have a usual gathering of 40-50 members who attend this meeting, and we are blessed to have believers in Christ who love our Lord. The church prayed for Mitchell last Wednesday, and the Holy Spirit touched this young man. He later told my wife that he experienced a weird feeling in his sternum and chest area while prayers were being made. His mother later stated that Lord told her that he would be healed. Mitchell was miraculously healed!!!! Yesterday, Mitchell went to a follow up visit with a third specialist. After running tests, the doctor stated that he had an unbelievably healthy heart and that there is no indication whatsoever of any irregularities. He stated that Mitchell’s sternum is not considered severe or detrimental, and that he should get back into sports immediately. He stated that there was nothing wrong with Mitchell. Praise the Lord!!!

Adventures at the Post office

March 10,2015: I stop by the post office to mail off some C D's of the conference. As I moved toward the door, simultaneously a young lady headed toward the door. I was rushing to open the door for her and she was rushing to open the door for me. I told her that I couldn't go in before her, it wouldn't be right, and if my mother saw it she would whip me. She said "I was brought up that way also, to respect my elders, you go first." She was very friendly and walked beside me as we walked toward the main part of the post office. Her name was Allison, she worked at a dental office; she was wearing scrubs.
As we got to the next door a young black man opens it and let's both of us in. I told the young man that he was a gentleman and a scholar and thanked him for letting us in. I told them the story that I'd had heard earlier about the little puppy being picked up by Marion Boggs. The puppy had been left at a Pilot Station in the cold rain. There was a need for everyone to have a feeling of affection. The young black man spoke up and said that he had never gotten affection from his father. I asked him what his name was; he said it was David. I asked him if he was named after David in the Bible, he said no I was named after my father who lives in California. I said to David I believe the Lord wants me to pray for you; could you meet me in the hallway after we finish. He said, "I will wait on you." Then he spoke up and said I left my wallet in the car I need to go get it. As he came back he did not get in line he just waited at a counter outside the door. Then I spoke to Allison saying, "I would like pray for you also." She said, "I would like that."
After mailing my packages I met David and Allison; I asked her what I could pray for her about. She said that her back was bothering her. I asked Allison if I could lay my hands on her shoulder, she said yes, I was raised in a Pentecostal church. Allison, David and I joined hands and I prayed for her. The Lord touched her and she went on her way. I asked David what I could pray for him about, he said that he wanted custody of his son and he wanted to be a good father unlike his father. I prayed for him and God touched him. As we finished up a lady walked up to David and I with tears in her eyes, and introduced herself. Her name was Mrs. Calhoun and she wanted us to pray for her. I guess it is because I talk so loud everybody could hear what I was saying. Mrs. Calhoun told us her son was at OCC and that she had to get a money order and mail it off for her son weekly. She did this because she loved him. As she was talking she was weeping and said pray for me. The three of us joined hands; I heard the heart and compassion of a loving mother her son and it touch David and I as we prayed. All three of us were weeping. When I finished Mrs. Calhoun hugged David and embrace me compassionately with tears. She went on her way. This was real Holy Spirit race relations. David said, "When you walked into this post office you brought God's Holy Spirit with you and it has touched everyone here."

Bernardo

This story is about Rene Herrera, who goes by the name Bernardo in Honduras. In January 2013 our team went into the prison in Olanchito to do "Eye Doctor in a Box" on a Thursday morning. We had a station where someone would test the prisoner eyes, the next station would fit them with glasses then they would come to me for prayer. Bernardo, who I didn't know was my interpreter. I would pray for each person asking if they had received Jesus Christ as Lord. I would have each prisoner confess Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life and that his blood cleanses them from all their sins. At this same time I felt a strong anointing of the Holy Spirit to pray for salvation and also prophesy over them. These words were going from me and into Bernardo then into the guards and prisoners. This was a glorious time!

Later I found out later that Bernardo was an illegal living in Oregon, was caught up with and placed into prison. He was then sent to Honduras where he was imprisoned there. He had just gotten out of prison and his mother asked him to be our interpreter, where he agreed to this. He was a trained Muslim who also left a daughter in Oregon. He told me later that every time he led someone to receive Jesus Christ in the prison he himself was also receiving Jesus. Bernardo also interpreted for the pastor training for 2 ½ days, where the word of the Lord went into him in a powerful way. When we left I gave him my jacket which was to him a memorial to his salvation experience.

In January 2014 as we went down he again was our interpreter, he had joined Dario in the ministry there leading XMA teams up into the mountains to show the Jesus film. He has a desire to attend Bible school and become a pastor. It was good being with him and seeing the grace of God at work in his life.

Testimony From Mei Powers

On Tuesday, September 8, 2015 there was a lady who bought some clothes from me so I went to meet her. After selling her the clothes, I asked her is it ok if I prayed for her and asked her whether she had arthritis. She told me she had all kind of problems in her body. I prayed for her healing and blessed her. She started crying hard and told me it has been a long time since anybody prayed for her like that. I encouraged her and also found out she is a pastors wife. She shared with me some of her struggles as a pastors wife and so on...

Olanchito Honduras

On January 7-13, 2015. Randy White led this trip and those going were Robert Lindsay, David Lindsay, Jacob Lindsay, Joshua Lindsay, Kristi Lindsay, Jerry Linhares, Tim Smith, Dwayne Bell, Aaron Slayter, Kathy Gwin, Cliff Bouwel, Nicolas Rainwater, Dr. Jay Warford, Rich Nadler, and Bill Feazel. David Lindsay and Tim Smith did the pastor training using Rev. Bob Mumford's outline on "The Purpose and Principle of Temptation." Tim Smith had the opportunity to baptize a young lady in the river which was a blessing to him. Cliff Bouwel was in charge of the crew building and replacing the bunk beds in the men's dormitory, termites had eaten away the beds that were there. Dr. Jay Warford was in charge of prison ministry in downtown Olanchito, where there were testimonies and sharing the gospel. Then they passed out Spanish Bibles along with toothpaste and toothbrushes to around 150 prisoners. We went into two different villages and ministered with prayer, testimony and the passing out clothing. Kristi Lindsay passed out candy to all the children in these places, one evening she ministered on overcoming depression and prayed for numerous ladies. On Sunday evening Jerry Linhares shared his personal testimony and the Holy Spirit fell as he asked people to come forward to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Out of this experience Jacob Lindsay has now joining "Youth With a Mission," he is in training in Montana and will be leaving for Taiwan the first of October. We give thanks to the name of Jesus, honoring glory to the Lamb of God!
It is time to begin thinking about our trip back on the first week of January, 2016. Our Lord Jesus has commissioned us to go and He would be with us. Yes Jesus always shows up!

Testimony from Mei Powers

Four weeks ago, Michelle Bass, Hannah Bass, Felicity Dark and myself went to Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Tyler, Texas. They have a team that is going to Southeast Asia in September and wanted me to share about those places. After sharing , we offered to pray and speak the heart of God in everyone's life. God was so faithful and gave us words to speak into their lives and some of them said what we prayed and prophesied was so true. Later I went to the office to meet the couple leading the team. While I was talking, I felt my nose was hurting like some kind of sinus problem and I asked both of them whether they have sinus problems. The husband told me he has been dealing with sinuses and allergies for years so I prayed for his healing. I told him let me know if God heals you. Last week, I got a text from his wife saying this" Mei, Rob wanted me to tell you that since you prayed for him, he doesn't have any more sinus issues "

Emily Bledsoe's Healing

I received this testimony from Kim Bledsoe December 30, 2014; it is a joyous testimony of the healing of her 5 year old daughter Emily. Powerful! The congestion started as an infant when Emily caught RSV from a baby in the church nursery. She took antibiotics and sleeping through the night was no longer possible for her. We took her to a professional care pharmacy and they gave us a nebulizer and albuteral vials. She also took Zyrtec everyday through her toddler years. We would lay down with her until she fell asleep and within 1/2 hour, she would be in our bed unable to breathe. We would put VICS vapo rub on her feet and chest, run the vaporizer and she would fall asleep and Eric would carry her back to bed and she would be back two hours later unable to breathe again. The simple sound of breathing in and out her nose was not possible. Emily was very brave and would administer her own saline nasal drops all by herself beginning at age two. During the daytime, she seemed happy natured but we began to see her rub her eyes, nose and she would sneeze all the time. We kept boxes of tissues in every room and in the car. She got what we called allergy eyes. This pattern continued for over four years. We prayed over her every night for a healing.
We received an invitation to attend Neil and Mae Powers home church and I asked Eric to check on if we could bring the kids. Neil said to bring them and right after that, mom and dad Bledsoe offered to babysit. Since Neil was getting a babysitter, we declined the offer from Mom and Dad Bledsoe and loaded up the car and drove over on a Sunday evening in November. That night Jerry Linaire's was giving his testimony and shared how God blessed him with the gift of healing. He asked if there was anyone who wanted to be prayed for. I nudged Eric and told him to go get Emily out of the childcare room. She sat on my lap and watched Jerry pray over several people and then he came to us. I quickly summed up that Emily had chronic congestion and he began to pray. He had Emily repeat after him and then she let out two very distinct coughs and he whispered to me that the demon of congestion was leaving her body. Also while he was praying over her, her body got very hot. I believed as well as Emily that God was working through Jerry to bring healing to her and was answering our prayers. Jerry told us that most people receive healing within four months and to keep in touch with him of her condition. We thanked him for his prayers and went home.
We saw huge improvements in Emily's health quickly. I felt silly taking Emily to Dr. Barham's office a few weeks later, but I was able to testify along with Emily and Mimi that Emily indeed was prayed over and had received a complete healing. Dr. Barham gave her a thorough exam and at the end of the appointment, said, "Well, Mrs. Bledsoe, what do you want me to do? I find nothing wrong." He prescribed Flonase for a few weeks and Emily didn't need it. We went for a follow up appointment on December 15th and Dr. Barham told me that there was no need to take her adenoids out and she didn't need to come back anymore.
