Sunday, September 24, 2017:
Family, John 15:16 “You did not choose Mehas slapped me in the face
3 times this year.  I just said, yes!  I speak at a Men's Fellowship tonight.
B.A.M., Be a Man... This is my first time to have the attention of men with
much more knowledge than me... My prayer is for this to be used by God
as a movement among men in our own sphere of activity... My verse is,
2 Cor 10:15... Love you!  Thanks for your years of prayer...

I have a garage sale testimony from yesterday for you.

It was another miracle garage sale. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and
goodness. He is a good Father; His love and faithfulness never fail.  I earned
around $1,570.00. Thank you for the donation and those that helped me with
the sale.
I love to do garage sales. It is not only for the funds but it also gives me an
opportunity to minister to people. It is my evangelizing ground to bless people.
I was able to minister to 4 or 5 people. I saw the Lord touch them as I prayed
and gave them his word of encouragement. Tears would fall from their eyes
as hope and love is renewed. Others raised their hands to worship God freely
as if they were not at a garage sale.
A few people told me that they were so touched because I cared for them
and now they knew that God loved them.  God moved some to bless me with
$$ while they only wanted to buy cheap stuffs and spend little.
Another lady was saying that she was so happy to come to our garage sale
because she received prayer, encouragement and could buy cheap stuffs...
I could write more about the testimonies here at the garage sale but the bottom
line I want to encourage us; the harvest is ripe and it is right there at your door.
Be faithful in the little things and do what Jesus tells you to do.
Eph. 5:16: “Making the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act
thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.”

Sunday, September 24, 2017:
“What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works?
Can that faith save him?  If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of
daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,”
and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?”
(James 2: 14-16)
While on temporary duty (TDY) with the military, David decided to eat lunch at
Subway.  When standing in line, he saw a man working who he knew from 5
years ago.  The man named Lovas saw him, got the attention of a co-worker,
and began telling the co-worker about David loud enough for all to hear.  He
began by pointing at David and saying, “This brother was a man who was there
for me when I was in a pit.”  You see, five years ago Lovas was a part-time Soldier
who got hooked on drugs.  During that time, he ended up losing his rank and
getting kicked out; however, David took steps to try and help Lovas get out of this
dark pit.  David along with others also went towards helping Lovas meet his needs
during this time, and David took several opportunities to share the good news
about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  This past week at Subway (five years
later), Lovas thanked David and told him how David impacted his life during that
dark time.  Today, he tells David that he is drug free, he has a job, and his life is
back in order.  Praise God for servants like David.
In Christ,

INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING MINISTRY IN NEED OF CONTINUED PRAYER
I also have had the opportunity to visit a young lady living in a Storage building
in West Monroe.  She has struggled with addiction to Meth.  I visited her a few
Thursdays ago.  I received news from her brother on that following Tuesday that
she relented and went to receive care at a detox facility to be followed by attending
a Rehab.  I then had the opportunity to minister prayer to a young lady who recently
completed a faith-based rehab that needed more emotional healing.  One of the
common threads with so many individuals who suffer with drug abuse is that
many times they were sexually abused at some point in their journey.  These
sessions generally last 4-5 hours.  She had such a good session that she told her
father about the session and he then contacted me for a session.  I’ve since prayed
with him for a prayer session as well.  WE LOVE TO SEE BROKEN PEOPLE
BECOME WHOLE THEN BE SENT OUT TO BRING OTHERS INTO WHOLENESS.

Covenant Life Fellowship pastors, encourage you to support this family as they
minister to our community. They are good soil to sow into financially. Tax deduct
gifts can be made out to “Covenant Life Fellowship,” Send to Rev. Whit Bass,
548 Bobby Woods Rd. Baskin, La 71219 or Robert Lindsay 850 Strozier Rd.

I had the privilege of preaching at Turkey Creek Baptist Church for two Sundays.
There was a man who came back the second Sunday who had professed his
Faith in Jesus since my first time preaching there.  His daughter brought a friend
that she wanted me to pray with to receive Christ that Sunday morning.  I spoke
with her and she wasn’t quite ready to make a decision that morning.  I invited
the whole family to attend Revival services at Beouf River Baptist that night.  The
whole family showed up.  The young friend came forward at the Youth Revival
Services and made her decision public that night.  I was able to present her and
the friend’s father to the entire congregation at Beowulf River.  There were 6
decisions for Christ that night.  We were blessed that Hannah had been given the
opportunity to lead worship for the Youth Night Services.

NEW DAY RECOVERY My wife Michelle was invited to share and speak to a group
that meets monthly at the NEW DAY RECOVERY located in West Monroe.  Rich and
Lindsey Nadler led a powerful time of worship that evening that led to Michelle
choosing to keep her words very brief; however, the Lord moved so powerfully that
5 men came to Christ through Salvation while 15 others re-committed their lives to
Jesus Christ.  Hannah and I were also ministering at another Friday Night Service
in Winnsboro at a gathering called “Chain Breakers”.
WE LOVE SERVING THE LORD AS A FAMILY NOW!!!

August and September Happenings with the Bass Family: In a period of one
week our family ministered to three different individuals with autism.  One family
drove to our home from Vicksburg, Mississippi and brought their daughter (who
the doctors think is on the spectrum) with them to receive prayer while Hannah
sang songs to the whole family.  The parents wept, as they needed encouragement
…sometimes families NEED encouraging. Then while at a church in Hixson,
Tennessee Hannah had the opportunity to pray for a young teen boy with Autism.
As soon as she began to pray for the boy he erupted in tears and sobbed as the
Lord touched him powerfully.  Then after leaving the church in Hixon we visited
Dollywood since we were already in the area.  Hannah met a young twenty
something year old girl who also had Autism.  Hannah poured out her love
towards this young lady by riding some of the rides with her.  The young lady’s
diagnosis was severe enough that she had to have two adult aides accompany
her.  When Hannah said her goodbyes, she asked the young lady with autism
if she could pray with her.  She agreed to allow it.  Hannah prayed and the young
lady began to weep as the Lord touched her while praying and then the two adults
also allowed Hannah to pray for them as well!  It was beautiful!

I called this morning to talk with Joe Cassidy and he was excited to tell me
about a dream that he had. The night before as Joe was praying he talked
honestly to God about his sister. There was not a problem between he and
his sister but there was no real relationship or friendship. Joe had been
reading in the book of Joel about dreams and visions and asked God to
give him a dream. During the night he had a dream and the dream he saw
his sister. She smiled at him and said; "Everything is okay." Joe said that he
was not one that had dreams but this one meant a lot to him.

"With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view,
be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints"
(Ephesians 6:18)
One morning, Tyler was compelled to pray for his wife.  As he prayed, he felt
burdened to specifically pray for her safety.  Not knowing why he felt so strong
about this, he responded in obedience to this call to prayer.  Throughout the
morning, this burden never left him, and he prayed fervently for his wife from
6:30-11:00 a.m.  At around 11, his wife called him telling him that he needed
to come get her immediately.  Her car had caught fire while she was driving.
Something under the hood blew up, and it sounded like a shotgun blast.  Black
smoke billowed immediately and filled up the cabin of the car before she could
even pull over.  After getting out of the car, she was able to get the family dog
out and then there was another blast and the car’s engine compartment went
into flames.  Praise God for praying people like Tyler.
In Christ,
Andy Magee

Today was a busy day; I saw the Lord do a number of great things. At the men's
meeting at John Rea Reality; John asked me to share a word for the New Year.
He said, "I know you have something;" and everybody stopped and looked at me.
I began to share about the necessity of mounting up in the Spirit like Daniel, Paul
and John in the book of Revelation. Daniel and his friends had to mount up in
the Spirit, they had to see Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the interpretation or
they would die. This is a motivating factor. In 2013 it is necessary for us as men
to mount up in the Spirit and see what God wants to do. This is something that
is necessity for us to move forward! Do we want to give ourselves to seeking
the face of the Lord? Is this something important for the Church? God's purposes
are linear; Jesus wears the crown and He is moving toward the consummation
of the age. He is coming for His Bride dressed in white. Those that have the ability
to see into Heaven will become leaders as we move forward into the New Year.
It appeared that this is something that spoke to each of the man because
each are leaders in their own right.
Marion Boggs presented to the men's group a 12 gauge Winchester shotgun
that he wanted to sell to help an 18-year-old boy enter into culinary school in
Baton Rouge Louisiana. He was asking $300.00. I decided that I would buy
the shotgun for $500 to help this young man and give the gun to my son, Robby.

One of the things that came to mind this morning is that today is my 14th.
anniversary of having a major heart attack. As I was giving thanks for
another 14 years Bro. Billy Duke from Mobile called because he was
thinking about me. We had a good visit and Billy asked me to pray for
his grandson Christopher. It has been something that the Lord has placed
on my heart to do. So, I have been interceding in the Spirit fervently.
At 1:30 PM Casey Stover and his wife came by on the way to Arkansas
to his mothers. He wanted to give me a Christmas present. He was
wearing the white Covenant Life Fellowship shirt that I had given him.
