One particular MOMENT that took place in the prayer tent happened when I walked up to an older gentleman standing and waiting. I asked him if he had been prayed with yet. He said he had. I asked him if he had pain in his body. He said, “all the time in my lower back.” I then offered to pray with him about his back pain. I asked him to show me where the pain was located. He then showed me. I placed my hand on the location where there was pain. I prayed a short prayer commanding the pain to leave and his back to be healed. “I consecrate his back by the power of Jesus name.” I asked him to walk and check his back-pain levels. He was shocked. He said “It’s much better.” I then said on a scale from 1-10 pain level and 10 being the highest, what was your pain level. He said a 7. After praying once it went to a level 3 of pain. I said let’s pray again and give thanks to the Lord for touching your back. We thanked the Lord. Then I prayed again. Pain go; back be healed in Jesus name. We checked his back. He said it was even better. I told the gentleman, there is just one thing you need to know about this blessing you have received. The Lord is going to anoint you to pray for others and pass on what you have received.

So, about this time his wife walked up. I asked her, do you have pain in your body. Shocked, she looked at me and says yes. I have a knot in my shoulder that is causing me much pain. (She either said she’s been to the doctor or going to see a doctor) at this point. I then looked at her husband and said, “Well here is your first opportunity to share what you have received.” I guided the husband in praying for his wife; I showed him how to place his hand on his wife’s knot and he prayed for her pain to leave and the knot to go. She was blown away by what happened. The pain not only left shoulder but she said she tangibly could feel the presence of the Lord touch her heart. She was visibly moved by God’s love for her. I then told the two of them. When you both walk together in agreement in what had taken place today you will see a double portion of God’s anointing on you. There will be a double power as you minister together. As they were holding hands, I prayed for them both to be used mightily of God. They received this news with GREAT JOY.

It Happened on Tuesday, December 1, 2015

Tuesday, December 1, 2015: At noon I met with James Morris at Southern Steel Fabricators, as he got into the Van, he was radiant and smiling from ear to ear. I asked James how things were going; he said fantastic. He said, his mother Rhonda who just got out of prison because of crack cocaine and is now living in a three-quarter house went to church with him Sunday at First Assembly in West Monroe. His girlfriend Stephanie who hasn't been out of prison longer but who is now in a halfway house was also with them. Stephanie's mother, Rhonda went to church with us also. James himself has not been out of prison long; has a history of drugs himself. Can God do anything in the situation; he can! At the end of the service James's mother Rhonda and his girlfriend Stephanie had a mighty baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Stephanie's mother, and another Rhonda is asking for deliverance; so we are working on that. Sunday afternoon James was also filled with the Holy Spirit that while driving in his vehicle and worshiping God; God baptized him with a mighty Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Fire. What an awesome day this was for their lives

Jacob in Montans November 2015

Monday, November 29, 2015: I received a call from my grandson Jacob in Montana who has just returned from Taiwan with a group from YWAM. He will be headed back to California to spend Christmas with his parents and family. I asked him if he was anxious to return home, but to my surprise he said "No, I don't want to get back in that bubble." It is not that he has a bad family but on the contrary he has a wonderful family that loves him and care for him so much that it is hard for this young man to leave that bubble where he is so well taken care for. There comes a time when the young eagle must leave its nest and learn to fly, this young eagle is standing on the edge of the cliff looking down into his future and he must take a leap.

Right now, he is planning to return to Montana to be with YWAM in an internship. I am amazed at how our Lord can redirect a man's life. Two years ago, his father, David and I took him on a mission trip to Honduras. He didn't want to go; but he did so just to please the two of us, but when it came time to return home, he didn't want to come back to the bubble. Jacob knows that as he leaps into his future that he has a family that will not let him hit the ground and be destroyed.

This morning I wonder how many of us are living in a bubble, fearful of leaping into the future that God has for us. The bubble is a place of comfort, security but without faith that pleases God. I pray that this generation will take a step of faith and get out of its bubble. To do this we also need the family of God around us so that we don't hit the ground!

DAY 8 REPORT IN BREST, BELARUS Sunday September 22, 2019

Michelle and I were able to share our testimony with a young congregation (Average
age 25) in Brest, Belarus on Sunday morning. The congregation and leadership received our testimony of our family journey with enthusiasm. The leadership took us and a few other leaders out to eat for lunch afterwards at the best Sushi restaurant in the area.

The primary translator PASHA and his Pastor extended an invitation to Michelle and I to lead a FAMILY CAMP for a week in the summer of 2020 in Brest, Belarus while PASHA also extended a camp opportunity for Hannah to join a team from Baton Rouge next summer to assist and join the worship team and sing in English for a camp called “LINGO” camp. At this camp 1 out of every 2 participants will be un churched. We have much to pray about leading into 2020 in the area of MISSIONS. Please partner and pray with us concerning these opportunities and decisions to come.

Thank You to all who prayed for us while we were in Belarus. We will never be the same. REVIVAL looms and awaits the people in the country of Belarus.

Testimony by Mei Powers November 2015

A testimony by Mei Powers from last Monday:

In a past testimony during our garage sale to raise funds for the Brazil trip, a Vietnam vet came pulling an oxygen tank. We had the opportunity to pray for him. He was looking at a guitar we had for sale that day. Since we prayed for him, he wanted to sing a song for me. He played the guitar and sang a beautiful Christian song. Then I told him that I wanted to sing a song for him in Vietnamese. My husband played the guitar and I sang “How Great Thou Art” in Vietnamese. It was a very touching time. Several weeks ago, we shared this testimony in greater detail but now we have some more to add to it. When we were singing there were lots of people there shopping at the garage sale witnessing what was happening? One lady there came to my house recently to buy some items we had for sale and she told me how that morning really impacted her. God used that moment to encourage her because she was feeling down that day because her cancer came back. She felt that the Lord had led her to the garage sale to encourage her even though we did not pray for her that day. She was so touched by what happened that she went home and shared with all her friends on Facebook how we ministered to the Vietnam Vet. All her friends were encouraged by what she had witnessed and commented that we all need to be bold like that. I prayed for her and gave her a word of encouragement. When you minister to others, sometimes people just watching get impacted too.

LAST TESTIMONY on trip back home from POWER & LOVE CONFERENCE

ALAN called to speak with Mike Clark & Whit Bass

While driving back over to Louisiana from Birmingham Alabama I remembered that a young man that I have continued to disciple as of the past few years had requested that Mike and I pray with him over the phone.  Our original intent was to try and pray with ALAN on the way over to Birmingham.  This didn’t work out for our schedules.  So on the way back home I remembered we needed to talk to ALAN.  I called him and was able to catch him on the phone.  ALAN, Mike and I had an amazing conversation.  I put ALAN on speakerphone so that Mike and I could hear ALAN and give feedback and then we prayed for Adam.  ALAN’S prayer request was that even though the Lord had given him strength over a recent struggle that he still was not motivated, as he needed to be for the Lord.  After praying with ALAN on Saturday I received this message on November 17 from Adam.   “I can’t tell you how much your prayers have cleared my mind.  God has pointed me towards real estate and is leading my mind in that specific direction.  I need you to pray specifically that God will lead me to the right firm to partner with, especially since I’m getting my licenses.  By faith, I’m launching my business at the beginning of the New Year…. I’ve got a sense of motivation and direction.  Yours's (Whit’s and Mike’s) prayers cleared my mind… Thank You my friend”

Whit & Michelle Bass Day 6&7 Belerus

Day 6 Morning was spent getting to know the culture of Brest. A very rich heritage of Christ before Russia took over.
In 1563 Brest had their own Bible translation from the original Hebrew and Greek language. I never knew other counties translated the Bible in any other language other than Latin before the King James Bible.

Later on in the evening we visited a church of young 20 something age range primarily.
Michele and I stood to give a 5 min testimony. We were asked to share our full testimony of Hannah and our ministry on Sunday morning which is this AM that I’m writing.

While at this church “Pure Heart” I had a strong unction to encourage and prophesy into a young family that adopted two older teen boys. One boy recently lost his mother.
I told the Father and mother that they were building legacy into their line and that after the father passed on that these two boys would continue living a life to carry on his legacy. I referred to the boys as arrows in their quiver.
I then placed my hand on the boy’s chest and began to speak life into them. The mother has steams if tears rolling down her face as I spoke into their lives as a family.

Day 7 was the Pastor Conference that was ALL DAY.
Michelle did get to speak to the Pastors wives on the subject of resting and spending time at Jesus feet - MARY MARTHA passage and I received a great report of how well she spoke to them and encouraged them. Someone was at the church we visited Friday and asked her to expound on Hannah’s testimony and Michelle got to talk about our journey and miracle of Hannah. The ladies were really moved by Hannah’s story.

Our friend Lee from FBC Rayville visited a rehab and boy I missed out on this one. It was a last-minute invite he received.
He said that as he was sharing with the men that the Belarus language, they were praying in changed to what sounded like an unknown tongue. He said the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT came in from behind the men and then began to rise among the men. Lee said he’s never seen a move of God corporately like he experienced with these men!!!

Unlearning Becoming Famous by David Lindsay

Unlearning Becoming Famous

It hangs like a burden around our necks.
BECOME FAMOUS!
BECOME AMAZING!
Become the man/the woman with the most likes!!
We PURSUE likes/shares and that perfect SELFIE.
THE PHOTOSHOPPED LIFE.
I have even longed for it myself at times.
BUT INSTEAD, we often struggle with the shame of smallness. AFRAID that we will never be enough. So, we keep flipping, scrolling, streaking and posting... hoping to find love, meaning and purpose...
What does it mean to be FAMOUS?
What does it mean to be enough?
For me, there are many people in my life who have been FAMOUS because they impacted me for good...
A third-grade teacher, who put my picture on her wall. She is famous... Because she made me feel IMPORTANT!!
A sixth-grade teacher, who dared to treat me as an equal. He is famous... Because he made me feel accepted.
A college roommate, who dared to become a friend and who is even still to this day. He is famous... Because he showed me a picture of what friendship can be.
A pastor, who drove an hour through the dead of night to sit by my wife's side during a life-threatening event with our baby. He is famous... Because he showed me what love and service looks like.
My father, sleeping for the night on a hard, tile floor in a hot, humid office because we were picking up our new baby boy. He is famous... Because he sacrificed for loved when it wasn't convenient.
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BECOME FAMOUS??
Then become famous in the eyes of a child, or a neighbor or a friend.
Become a memory of love that they carry throughout their lifetime.
You will most likely never be remembered on Instagram for longer than 5 seconds, but you can be can be famous for a lifetime in someone's heart.
You may never touch the stars but you can touch countless hearts.
