Brazil with my parents' home church in the Crossroads area of Farmerville. I asked the Lord
for words of knowledge for that night. I received five impressions: pain at the base of the neck, pain at the base of the spine, pain in the right foot, chest pain possibly associated with anxiety and a virus. I decided to share the words of knowledge when. I was explaining what they were and how we used them in Brazil. So I shared all five, but only one person claimed one. This person was already much better from a virus earlier in the week, so there was no way to check her healing. It was an awkward moment, but I used it to model a point I wanted to make anyway. A wrong word of knowledge doesn't hurt anyone. But if its right and we're so worried about getting it wrong that we don't say it, somebody misses out on their healing. That's the risk we can't afford to take! Better to get it wrong than for someone not to receive what God wants to give them. For reasons I don't feel led to explain (and that have nothing to do with missed WOKs), it was a hard night for me personally and by the time I finished speaking, I was drained. I told the Lord I needed Him to help me if I was going to pray for people.
The woman next to me piped up. "You know, when you were talking about those words of knowledge things earlier, I totally zoned out. I have chronic pain from a stinger at the base of my neck and a foot injury." So I prayed for her and God completely healed the stinger at the base of her neck. She couldn't check her right foot because it didn't hurt at the moment, but I found out two days later it was better. Seeing God do that was just the pick me up I needed. It helped me minister to the rest of the room.
Afterward, Erica, another mom and I went to relieve our babysitter for the night. I felt led to ask the babysitter about the WOKs. She had pain at the base of her neck, the base of the spine and in the right foot from her hips being out of alignment. She also struggles with chronic anxiety. I had a strong impression the Lord was about to align her hips, so I took a "before photo" of her uneven legs. We prayed and almost immediately, the hips adjusted and the leg shot out and her pain was relieved! Though it was a hard night, God really encouraged me by doing these things and answering my personal prayers for help. Others were encouraged, too!
