Sunday February 21, 2016: Testimony by Hannah Bass: She led a class mate
to Christ at Co-op School this past week. She said the student told her that
he wasn't able to sleep at night. In the course of the conversation the student
told her he was learning how to cast spells on others and actually do it.
Hannah confronted the young guy about the dangers and seriousness of dabbling
with witchcraft and then led him to Christ at school Thursday. Please pray him.
His first name is Brock.

12/25/2019 Rethinking Church by David Lindsay

Not to ‘throw shade’ on ‘The Church,’ but I think that maybe it is time to rethink church as many of us now know it. I think that it is time to move away from Superheroes/Superstars and move into Fatherhood/Motherhood.
Maybe it is time to move away from organizations and memberships and into families. Maybe it is time to move from viewing the backs of heads and to looking each other face-to-face as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Many of us have grown up in a Hollywood culture - fame, stars, lights, cameras, bigger, better, glitz… but many of us have become jaded with all of this in society and in the church. Many of us have become exhausted with the shuffle of people from church to church depending upon who has the best show.
Many of us are tired of heroes, who never know us and are beginning to want fathers and mothers, who know our names. Maybe it is time to rethink church.
Maybe it is time to disrobe the church of glamour. Maybe it is time to rethink our music programs and make them simple. Maybe it is time to rethink our youth programs. Maybe it is time to rename our pastors. Maybe they should be seen as father or mother. You don’t vote in a new father or mother.
Maybe we should abandon the massive structures that we call CHURCH and gather as the church.
Maybe the church should look more like family. Maybe we should live more like family. Maybe we should share our meals together, share our dreams and pains together. Maybe, just maybe…
An organization barely notices when you don’t show up.
A family leaves a place at the table for you.
An organization doesn’t know or care when you leave.
A family mourns when you do.
An organization quickly moves to refill your position.
A family remains incomplete without you.
An organization puts the most qualified forward.
A family works to see each other become their best and a success.
We should be part of a family, not members of a club or organization.
I don’t know all of the how’s, but maybe it is time to rethink church as many of us now know it.
The Church - organic, simple and yet powerful - empowering sons and daughters to take their place in society, in the world, in history and in Family of God as sons and daughters and then as fathers and mothers for the glory of God!
"I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." - Jesus

What it Means to Disciple Men

This is a testimony given to me by Michael Stephens Monday, February 15, 2016. Michael operates Cajun Valve in Monroe Louisiana; they repair valves in an industrial setting. Michael has had a guy named Ethan Hunter that came to work for him about nine months ago. And over the past nine months Michael has shared the gospel with him in different ways and various times as they go through the workday, also sharing Scriptures with him. Ethan started a conversation several months ago by asking Michael if he was a Christian; and Michael assured him that he was. Ethan said, I thought that you were because you're a different type man. Over the past nine months he's asked me questions about the Bible and the Christian walk.

Two weeks ago, in the evening he got a text from Ethan saying, "I am tired of living, like I am, I need Jesus. Immediately Michael called him and asked, "What is going on?" He said, "I don't know, I was driving along down the road after work and something came over me and I had to pull over on the side. Michael told him that it was the Holy Spirit working on him, the Holy Spirit is opening your eyes and removing the blinders and he is bringing conviction over you. You are a sinful man; we are all sinful. We are born into sin; we need to see and recognize that we sinners and we need Jesus. The Holy Spirit is bringing conviction over you. His reply was, "I don't know what to do." Michael's reply was let's prayer together and they did. "You go home tonight and seek the face of God, praying, God continue to open my eyes, continue to show me light, continue to show be true. Pray and tell him that you want to be saved and you want to be his child, you pray that all night seeking God. Michael shared Scriptures with him that God has made a way for us to come to him through Jesus Christ. We can go boldly before his throne and seek him. Michael shared with him that Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Ethan was frightened and didn't know what was happening; there's a war going on in his soul, God's calling you and he wants you. Satan does not want you to seek God; when you come in tomorrow we will set down and talk some more.

The next morning, he came in and they set down in the office and Michael shared with Scriptures with him about salvation and what Jesus Christ has done for us. He talked to him about the importance of the blood of Jesus Christ and that we must be covered with that blood. He asked him, do you want to be a man of God and give your life to Jesus Christ; he said yes. They prayed together asking the Lord to save him, to open his eyes and continue to show him truth, to grow him.

Michael had to leave the office and Ethan went to work; a few minutes later Michael received a text saying I share the gospel for the first time and it felt good. Mike knew that he had been talking to Stephen, but Stephen opposed the things that he was saying. He said I don't know whether I was doing it right or not. Michael assured him that he needed to keep up the good work that he would be in battle for the souls of men. The Bible said when you share the gospel you will be persecuted. He told Ethan that he was a young Christian, a baby and Satan comes seeking those that he can devour and that is a new baby Christians, newborns, this is what he wants to devour. This battle takes place in our mind. Michael said in the future we will set down together and I will teach you how to be a warrior for Christ and be a strong man of God and how to fight the enemy. They meet together every Friday morning early. Ethan is in his 20's, new wife and baby.

Becoming a Friend by Michael Stephens

Becoming a Friend by Michael Stephens

It was Saturday morning February 13, 2016; Randy White and Michael Stephens had set up a display at Mac's Fresh Market to sell tickets for the annuals Sportsmen's Banquet in Farmersville. I went up to purchase tickets for Robby and the boys; and visited for a while. This is a story by Michael Stephens that came out of that morning.

A little while after I had left a man walked up and started talking to Randy but Randy couldn't remember his name. Then Michael and Randy talk about the problems with remembering people's name but how easy it is to remember faces. While they were talking another guy came up and asked what they were doing. Randy began to explain to him that it was a fundraiser for XMA. As he was talking to Randy, Michael thought to himself, I know this guy. As this man was talking to Randy he pulls out his wallet and took out five dollar bill and hands it to Michael and said "Here." Michael's response was what ticket do you want to buy; he said I don't want anything, I just want to give it to you all. Michael thanked him and put the money in a box as Randy continued to talk to the man. He reaches back in his pocket and pulled out two more $5's and hands it to Michael and said here, here's two more $5, again Michael thank him for the donation. As Randy continued to talk to him, he reaches into his pocket, pulls out his wallet and counted out the remaining money it was $29 and said here this is all my money. He said take all of it, Michael said, "Are you sure that you don't want a ticket?" He said I don't need it; I don't need the money and I don't need the prizes. I just found out yesterday that I have cancer, it's all in my bones and all in my body and so I'm not going to live much longer.

The man looks at Michael and the hat that he was wearing it had, "Cajun Valve" on it and he said don't I know you and Michael response was I know you; your name is Chuck. They had not seen each other in 17 years; they had worked with each other at Industrial Valve. This was right after Michael had got out of high school. They talk for a few minutes and as they did Michael was thinking that they needed to pray for Chuck. There was a pause in the conversation and Michael spoke up and said Chuck do you mind if we pray for you. He said, "No I don't mind." So, both Michael and Randy laid hands on him to pray for him but as they did, he said I have drunk a couple beers. Michael said we don't care about that we just want to pray for you. We just want to let you know just how much God love you. Michael started praying for healing for his body but he felt more led to pray for his spiritual well-being. They prayed that he would feel the presence of God, and that he would feel God's love, that he would feel God's peace and emotional stability. He thanked them and then he left; he went and sat in his car that was parked in front of the store.

Michael began to remember our conversation where I mentioned that Jesus called his disciples "friends." And how important it was that his disciples knew that they were friends of Jesus. He thought the power of being a friend over and over again. Michael would play the word over in his mind, "Brother, Friend" and when Michael would say friend it seemed that there was power and that word. The word brother has a reverence to it but when somebody says friend it becomes a different level of relationship. As he thought about this, Chuck has cancer and he may die, I prayed for him and now he's gone, he needs a friend. Michael was thinking I was his friend when we work together. Michael looked over to where the car was and it was still there. Michael said to himself, "I have got to go talk to him." Michael walked over to his car and tapped on the window, he was still sitting there wiping his eyes, and he had come to tears. Michael said, "Chuck I don't know if you have love and support from your family but I would like to be a close friend to you and I will give you my phone number. You call me, I don't care if you call me every day or any time you need to talk. I want to be for you through this. I will be there to help you, to pray with you and encourage you. He said, "Men I need that." Michael said I mean what I say, you call me. He talked to Michael about his struggles with believing God. Michael talked to him about having a relationship with Jesus Christ and it being more than just going to church. Michael told him that we could pray for healing and Jesus can heal your body right now, but you're still going to die. Every person that Jesus healed on this earth has died and gone and they are an eternity somewhere. We want to pray for you and God wants to heal you but first he wants to heal your heart most importantly. Our attitude toward Jesus Christ should be I'm going to serve you whether I live or die. The most important thing right now is that God wants you to know that he loves you in a spiritual sense at this time more than a physical sense. Michael shared the gospel with him. They talk again for another 20 minutes and Michael encouraged him to call. Whatever you need I will be there for you.
When Michael got home that night, he had a text from Chuck, it said that he got more from the prayer than any prize that you may have. He text, Michael back a few minutes later and said I always thought I was saved until I talk to you today. After our conversation today I know I am saved!

Sunday February 14, 2016: I've had the opportunity to minister to some pretty heavy situations in the past 2 weeks. I am not allowed to mention specifics of the individuals but we witnessed victory in the realm of dark forces operating... If I can get permission I may share in the future.

My family and I also ministered at Project 41 this past Tuesday night. Each of you are welcome to join us on these nights as we actually minister to some of the ladies who are going through the program. I was afforded the opportunity to speak then lead us into prayer for those present. We saw many who attended find freedom in the area of FEAR. God is good.

Please continue to pray for us. We will be ministering tomorrow in Catahoula Parish and then the following Sunday at Baskin Baptist Church. Hannah will minister in music as I will be preaching. Blessings to each of you!!!

Testimony Feb. 2016

February, 2016:This is a recent testimony by Whit Bass and Mike Clark: A contemplation of Suicide Ms. Janie was suicidal. She was a client at a local Credit Union. One of the employees at the credit union contacted me out of concern for Ms. Janie. The Credit Union employee was concerned that Ms. Janie may be suicidal and harm herself. She asked me to check on Ms. Janie. When I called Ms. Janie to check on her; she immediately began to weep. She said, “You don’t realize just how timely your call was. I was in a really dark place and was about to do something I would regret.” I contacted my friend Mike Clark and Bubba Redding to assist me on a house visit to pray with Ms. Janie. God powerfully touched Ms. Janie; she had been experiencing multiple health issues and back pain. She was not able to work any longer for her employer due to her poor health and emotional wounds from a failed marriage, deceased parents, financial shortage, and a strained relationship with her son. Mike paid Ms. Janie's conference fee to attend a Freedom and Fullness Seminar led by Dr. Henry Malone. Ms. Janie has made huge strides. I was able to help her find a new job as with an administrative position and she has been doing much better. I continue to check on her and walk with her through her life journey.

On this Saturday the wind was blowing strong bitter and cold. Much rain had fallen and the grounds were soaked. As it turned out most everyone that normally would have been outside at their designated areas ended up moving inside into the local National Guard Armory.
There were a few of us that braved the bitter cold that we were all underdressed for this occasion.

In the prayer tent we were able to lead 4 individuals to profess Christ as Lord and we’re also able to see the wonder working power of God.
Michael Clark had a lady walk through the prayer tent on her way to pick up her groceries. He looked around to see if any local pastors may want to join in but he didn’t sense he needed to ask them to assist. The Lord gave Michael a word of knowledge - (an impression) that the lady had pain in her back. He asked the lady if she had pain in her back. Specifically, if it was in her lower back area. The lady was in shock. She said “how did you know where my pain was located”? At this time Michael noticed a young African American lady that had actually finished her Seminary degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She was so hungry to assist us in praying for any in need of healing.

Michael had her join him in placing her hand on the area in need of healing. After they prayed for the lady Michael asked the lady to check the pain area. The lady was going to say thank you and leave but Michael explained that she needed to have an expectation after praying and asked her to check out the area. So, the lady moves around in her back and her back popped and she was again shocked at how the Lord moved and healed her of her back pain. The three of them began to praise the Lord right there in the prayer tent.
The young seminary lady from this point on said I’m staying with you guys. Yaw are my new people. And she shadowed Michael and I the remainder of the day. She was FULLY ALIVE after seeing the wondrous works of God.

Testimony from Caliph in Kenya

Thursday, December 12, 2019: It was Friday last week, when I was ministering in a certain village. There was a good number of people that turned out in the soul winning meetings; I was preaching and ministering to the people. There was such a great move of the Holy Spirit and many were convicted to repent and turn from darkness to light. As I called for an altar call there was thing young woman who was weeping so much among the people. I asked one of my team members as to what was happening with her, I was told that the girl had been sexually abused by more than 7 men in one day same time. She said she did not have a reason to live so she had resolved to committing suicide by taking poison. As I shared the word from Colossians 2: 14 which talks about Christ blotting the ordinance that was against us by nailing to the Cross, she felt a strong touch and decided to give her life to Jesus. The spirit of suicide was destroyed and this soul was delivered. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God for this great salvation.
