Friday, August 16, 2019: Hello Brothers!
Thanks! for your support to pay Santiago's medical expenses. It is awesome!
We have been Praying for provision and the Lord has provided. Abundantly.
Just let me that did not know about the wiring until Santiago went to the mission house, to let me know He had funds sent for him, and could not get them...
Well! I really wish that would have been informed, to be ready to help in a faster way.
Receiving wirings, has become more complicated since the government requires a lot of information.
Also, after being Praying with the Church, it is a blessing for all of us, to know that our prayers have been answered. Hope the blessings from the Lord, be always present in you all, and that the Love of Jesus continue flowing through you, to bless those who are in need. Have a more blessed evening!
Tuesday, August 13, 2019: I had lunch with John McCormack. John is a very caring person who is willing to help others. He is a servant! A great man of God!
Afterward I went to Mac's Grocery to pick up a few things. I heard someone behind me calling my name. It was, Danny Duke; an electrician that worked plant. Danny had developed a respect for me as I serve the Lord. He himself was a wayward individual. Danny has been going through much physical problems and had died on the operating table. I asked Danny if I could ask your personal question; he agreed. I asked him if he knew Jesus Christ as Savior and was headed to heaven. He confessed that he did. I prayed for him while standing in the aisle of the store.
A young man helped me with the groceries at the car. Our visit led to an opportunity for me to pray for him also. Tuesday has been a good day, thank you Lord!
A Testimony of Healing
Sunday Morning October 18, 2015 When Mei Powers was preparing to go to church; she felt a pain in her right shoulder, it wasn't something that was ordinary for her. She believed that it was a word of knowledge that she should pray for someone that had a bad right shoulder. She mentions this to her husband, Neil Powers. At first Baptist Church in West Monroe that Sunday morning she mentioned it to those in her Life Group but none responded so she went to a different life group where Tim Smith was attending, she said, " I feel like Lord wants me to pray for someone that has a bad shoulder." Tim spoke up and said this could be me. My shoulder comes out of socket quite often.
When Tim was around 16 years old, playing football his shoulder was knocked out of place. Since that time, it easily slips in and out of socket and he knows the procedure to put it back in. He even abstains from raising his right arm to prevent it from slipping out. Occasionally while sleeping his right arm will come out of socket. At one time he had an MRI which indicated that he had part of his socket broken off; it is about the size of a quarter floating around.
The life group members gathered around him with Mei and Neil and began to pray for Tim; he felt that something was happening within his shoulder. Neil asked him was it completely healed and he said I still feel some pain as he raised his arm and move it around. They prayed for him the second time and the results were, it felt better. Then they prayed for him the third time and he believe God for his complete healing.
Thursday, August 8, 2019: This morning as Joseph (the painter) and I visited; I asked Joe if it ever been baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He said that he had, so I said lets you and I lift our hands and worship God in the spirit together. After a period of time I said let's join with the Angels in heaven as they surround the throne of God and worship. As Joseph did this, he fell face down on the floor worshiping God.
After a period of time, Joseph said I want you to challenge me. So, I began to talk to him about prophecy. Paul says we may all prophesy, speaking words to edify, exhort or comfort. I prophesied over him; then he prophesied over me. The last several days he has been calling me pastor. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to minister the word of God to Joseph.
From Chris Moon
The word says there is no one righteous not even one. The enemy loves to bring up your past and use anyone he can to do this . But the good news is when you except Jesus for what he done for you a shift takes place you become a heir to the Kingdom and become the righteousness of the King of all Kings. I don’t have to please anyone on this planet only the one who created everything. Do not allow the enemy a foot hold press in to what is given to you and that’s the love of Christ ! May today my King be glorified.
Monday, August 12, 2019 Testimony from Phil Elakes Abundent Life Church
Your influence continues to be felt. Last Friday night Doug McIntosh stepped
out and started a monthly ministry for men struggling with pornography. Had
over 20 men attended and the meeting went on till almost 11pm. It was awesome.
Doug said your visit was the catalyst. You plant seeds and God does the growing.
Fire Starters for Christ,
It happened on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 7 PM at University of Louisiana Monroe. Jameson Alston and a leader of Fire Starters had invited Mei Powers to come and share with their group. She did not know what to expect as she went but she went under the influence and power of the Holy Spirit. When she entered the room, she saw around 100 African-American students. She did not know what she was to speak on but settled on receiving power from the Holy Spirit. Mei was full of energy, enthusiasm for our Lord Jesus Christ. Back in Vietnam her father was a pastor and she preached often there. This firebrand began sharing in a powerful way; and at one-point students began to stand up. She thought to herself I must have offended them in what I have said, but quite the contrary they began to come down front as the Holy Spirit moved powerfully upon them. They began to confess many different sins asking for prayer for forgiveness and healing in Jesus name. They began to pray for the students. Her husband Neil wondered why hasn't my wife come home. She finally got there at around midnight. What a wonderful testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit in one small Vietnamese Saint.
Wednesday, October 29, 2015: This morning I believed that the Lord wanted me to drive to Shreveport to visit with Nicholas Rainwater my great-nephew. We had a three-hour visit together. My niece, Amy her husband Michael Prokopf, Nicholas and Erin have become involved with Pathway in Dallas Texas; a heart transformations group. Pathway has made a big difference in this family's walk with Jesus Christ. Michael was saved and baptized there along with Erin.
Nicholas related this testimony to me that was quite encouraging to him. In Nicholas' second session at Pathway, on Saturday night, Nick had a chance to speak to someone new by the name Ross. He went up to Ross and asked him if he was a believer and went to church. Nicholas told Ross that he believed that God had something special for his life. At one time Ross did attend church, but college he got away from church and became a partier. He has a wife, daughter and work has kept him very busy. Nick asked him if he would go to church within the next morning.
In the service the next morning Ross came in and sat right behind him. Nick began to pray for Ross, he wanted to see something awesome today. There was an invitation for the church and especially for the Pathway people to come forward to receive Jesus and be baptized in His name. Ross went forward, was baptized; he is now in church and leading a Bible study in his home.
The Longing to Belong from Michael Stephen
Whatever else it means to be human, we know beyond doubt that it means to be relational. Aren’t the greatest joys and memories of your life associated with family, friendship, or falling in love? Aren’t your deepest wounds somehow connected to someone also, to a failure of relationship? That you were loved but are no longer, or that you never have been chosen?
One of the deepest of all human longings is the longing to belong, to be a part of things, to be invited in. We want to be part of the fellowship. Where did that come from?
So, too, our greatest sorrows stem from losing the ones we love. Byron lamented,
What is the worst of woes that wait on age?
What stamps the wrinkle deeper on the brow?
To view each loved one blotted from life’s page,
And be alone on earth, as I am now.
Loneliness might be the hardest cross we bear. Why else would we have come up with solitary confinement as a form of punishment? We are relational to the core. We are made, as it says in Genesis, in the image of God or, better, in the image of the Trinity: “Let us make man in our image” (1:26, emphasis added).
Meister Eckhart had it right when he said that we are born out of the laughter of the Trinity.
From the Heart of the universe come our beating hearts. From this Fellowship spring all of our longings for a friend, a family, a fellowship—for someplace to belong
