Monday June 15, 2015 I got a call from Chris Stroud who just graduated from Downsville High School. He is a friend of my granddaughter Gabby. He asked me to carry him to Shreveport, Louisiana so that he could enlist in the Air Force. He said that I was his last resort; I assure him that I would do this. He lives with his mother and stepfather; both work and Chris doesn't have a driver's license. In the Air Force he would be trained in air-
conditioning and refrigeration, then be able to get a college education after that.
Wednesday, June 24, 2015: I drove to Downsville, La. to pick up Chris. Like most young boys coming out of high school Chis is searching for his purpose in life. Without funding for college he has decided to join the Air Force. While there I asked if I could meet his stepfather, Clint Coleman. Clint is a paper mill worker and had just got home from a 12 hour night shift; he was very cordial to me and we hit it off real well because I too was a
paper mill worker. After a period of time of exchanging our trade experiences with one another I asked Clint if he would mind if I prayed for him and also Christian's future. He agreed and the Holy Spirit helped me; as we held hands in prayer I declared that we all
believed in Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was the Lord of our lives. Client invited me back to visit with him. On the way over to Shreveport we received a call from the recruiter saying that their computers were down; so we turned around.
Thursday, June 25, 2015: This morning I drove back to Downsville and picked up Chris Strout and my granddaughter Gabby; the three of us drove to the Air Force office in Shreveport.
There is more to come!
