On the plane I had two opportunities to pray with two different people. The first person I prayed with was on the flight to Rome Italy from Atlanta. The young man has a Catholic background and allowed me to anoint him with oil and pray with him for his health conditions.
The next opportunity I had to pray was with a young man from Belarus and his wife that sat beside me on the flight from Rome Italy to Belarus. I was able to share with this young man about the gospel and he was glad to see that Americans were coming to his country to see how beautiful their country is. I shared with him about the John Eldredge APP (Ransomed Heart) and the prayers that are located in the app and gave him my ministry contact card.
Upon arriving in Belarus the temperature was significantly cooler. The country is beautiful. It Reminds me of other countries in Europe like Germany that are clean and more developed.
Belarus is the second largest population of Jewish people outside of Israel that live in a country. Our first assignment was to visit a ranch in Minsk Belarus where children who have disabilities and fostered can come and receive therapy by horses. The man sharing about this ministry’s name was Nikolai.
Nikolai shared one story about a child that is being fostered that is an orphan. The boy is about 4 years of age and has to have a loaf of bread to hold at night in order to sleep.
The trip leader Andrew’s wife Ina and I were able to find the young fella and pray over him last night. Im believing and praying for the miracle of healing of fear and healing of trauma from suffering of not having enough food at some point in his life.
There were numerous foster families that showed up at the ranch to meet us. Each foster family would stand up and share about their foster family where we were meeting. Each family would foster between 6 to 9 children. There are approximately 33,000 orphans in the country of Belarus and the Byle, Russian mission that we are helping helps these foster families to financially be able to give care to these children. It’s a true financial struggle to give care to foster children and in some cases in addition to their own biological family.
Later in the evening the adults went to a separate location while the children stayed behind where we were currently gathering. Michelle and I chose to stay behind with the children. (Ina) pronounced EENA asked me to share an encouraging word to the children. I felt like the Lord wanted me to speak to each child one by one and give a prophetic - LIFE GIVING encouraging word over their life. Once I started doing this it took quite some time because there were 35 children ranging from early childhood to older teenagers. I invited Michelle (my wife) to join me and she and I alternated speaking life into the children. Each child would receive a word of love and encouragement from the leading of the Lord specifically to what they needed to hear. One teenage girl sat there and wept as we spoke life into her. That one moment was worth our trip to Belarus.
Please continue to pray that we are receptive to hear Gods voice and leading each day and that we will Be spirit led. Ina recognized that we were being led by the Holy Spirit.
