December 2008: Tommy Kountz testimony: Tommy is the owner of T.P. Steel Buildings. A business man in town had Tommy to put up a building that he was going to house machinery to extrude plastics. Tommy went by his place of business one day to make a collection of the money that was owed him. As they begin to talk, he began cursing and telling Tommy how bad everything was. “We have elected a blank – blank president, the economy was terrible, Russia and Iran are going to invade Israel, he wasn’t going to put in the equipment because of the economy, the business in Houston had lost their business to a fire and would no longer need to do business with him and that he had just made the biggest business blunder in his life.” Tommy asked him, “What was that?” He replied, “Having you put up this building.”
The Lord told Tommy; “Now is the time.” so he told the guy that he had chosen to trust the Lord with his business and to honor Him with his tithe. He told him the Lord said that He would bless him whether the economy was good or bad and that he has chosen to be positive and he has all the business that he can handle. The man ended the conversation by saying, “Come go with me, I have something to give you.” He gave him a hooded sweat shirt with the business logo on it.
Several weeks later, he gets a call from this man who told him that the business in Houston needed his warehouse to store their product. He said “They will begin shipping Monday and I need you to finish the ramp so that we can get into the building.” Before he could finish the ramps, trucks had started rolling in.
On completion, Tommy went by to collect again. As he entered, the man’s wife said, “We have been wanting to pay you.” This never happens in business! Tommy asked her where her husband was. He was in the next room and called for him to come in. He said “I want to tell you how the Lord has blessed me. I had a pain in my stomach and my wife insisted that I see Dr. Dunn for a colonoscopy. They found that I had two polyps which they removed. One was the size of a golf ball. If they hadn’t found them and removed them, I would have been dead within two years. My business is doing great and I will probably need another building constructed in February of 2009.”
The Lord spoke to me that Tommy was blessed because of the blessings of Abraham were on him, “I will bless those that bless you.” Look at how the Lord blessed this man because Tommy was given a sweat shirt. Praise God!
