This morning I picked up Chris Strout in Downsville and carried him to the Army recruiter's office. Along the way Chris and I spent time worshiping the Lord and praying together, he senses the presence of God resting on his shoulder. Sgt. Scott Robertson is giving him special attention, having him do push-ups and sit-ups. I met Brother Jerry Linhares at the kitchen at 8:30 AM where we visited for about an hour before going back pickup Chris. From there the three of us, Sgt. Roberson, Chris and I went to ULM where Chris ran a mile in the indoor court. He did that in seven minutes; in the parking lot I asked Scott if I could pray for him, he agreed and I prayed. We will be getting together later for a meal. Scott wants Chris to meet him at ULM every Thursday morning until he ships out September 1.
