Friday, June 26, 2015: There has been a change in my schedule; I had planned to meet Whit and Lindsey at noon but they rescheduled for 3 PM. I had to move up the timing to pick up Chris and carry him to the recruiter's office. The recruiter informed us that he would be there all morning and we got there at 11 AM. Along the way I could tell Chris was extremely depressed because things didn't go as he planned. I began to encourage him and the Lord giving him many examples from Scripture and the lives of many how disappointments that they faced actually turned in to the sovereignty of God working in their lives. I mentioned to him that we had placed the situation in God's hand together. We had confessed that Jesus was the Lord of his life and in control. That he could have confidence in the outcome because of our dedication of his life to the Lord. I asked him to say, "Jesus Christ is my Lord," he squeaked it out, I said "I can't hear you," he said it louder, again I said "I can't hear you." I continue this process until he was screaming out "Jesus Christ is my Lord." Then I prayed and asked God to manifest his presence in this situation so that Chris will know that God was in control.
