Friday, June 5, 2015: This morning I had my annual checkup with Dr. William Smith with whom I have been seeing since my heart attack on December 23, 1998. As I was setting in the waiting room a lady walks out in scrubs and says, "William Smith." I was the only one there at the time so I answered back my name is Robert Lindsay and I'm here to see Dr. Smith. She disappears then comes back and called me and I follow her to the examining room. This was her first day on the job and she was very nervous and also had a nurse practitioner there to help her as she took my information and recorded my medication. I could tell that she was nervous and insecure. As I look down, I saw her wedding ring was a large diamond. I said, "Your husband sure does love you with that large diamond that you're wearing." Her answer was, "he likes to spend money." I answered back, "Well he's spending it on the right person." She said, "I hope so." I sensed a compassion for her, her name was Amy. She was not only insecure on her job but also at her marriage. I visited with Dr. Smith and he was pleased with my physical condition and my blood test.

After Dr. Smith released me, I had a desire to pray for Amy, as I left the room there, she stood. I motioned for she come over I told her that I felt like God wanted me to pray for her and would she mind. She said she would like for me to pray for her. She and I stepped inside the room and she closed the door, when she did the nurse practitioner open the door so I invited him to join us in prayer but he declined. He went to church at Ouachita Baptist with Casey Stover. As I began to pray for Amy, that her husband would love her like Christ loved the church and for her family. The Lord help me by sending the Holy Spirit and He blew across her. Her face turned red, tears began to come out of her eyes and her sinuses began to run uncontrollably. When I finished, she was embarrassed about her condition and began to wipe her face with Kleenex. She embraced me; thanking me and I disappeared from her life leaving her to the grace of God.
