Thursday, June 19, 2014: At noon today I met with Tim Smith, I gave him CD's or the conference, pictures and a book by Charles Simpson called, "Challenge to Care." A few weeks ago, as Tim and Duane entered Swanson's to minister to teenage boys; these boys ate them for lunch and made them look foolish. They came away wondering if God was in this. Today I shared with Tim about the power of the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus. I gave him examples of casting out demonic spirits in the name of Jesus and how demonize people act when faced with the blood of Jesus Christ. We have great power through the name and the blood of Jesus Christ. I encouraged him to open with prayer using the name of Jesus, and the blood of Jesus and taking authority over those spirits at the beginning. He called this morning with excitement and joy in his heart over what he saw God do last night. On the way to Swanson's with Ervin Haste, Ervin shared with him that he enjoyed Brother Charles Simpsons personal testimony CD and that he also had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues but within the Baptist Church he had let this gift go dormant within him. Ervin desires to move in the power of the Holy Spirit. As they went into Swanson's they agreed together that while one was speaking the other would be praying and taking authority over the meeting.
As they went in Tim went to each person made eye contact and ask them their name and try to remember each one, and thanked them for being there. There were 14 present; he began the meeting with prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit by proclaiming the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus Christ and taking authority over the meeting commanding all the opposing spirits to be silent. As he spoke the power of the Holy Spirit was present and those that were in opposition earlier cursing him were quiet and appeared to be sleeping. But there were two who gave attention to what he was saying. One of these teenagers was one who gave him a great deal of trouble previously cursing him; but today gave attention and received the word of God and it began to work in these two lives. As he calls me this morning he was full of joy thanking me for sharing with him about taking authority in Jesus name. A spirit of laughter came upon us and we rejoiced in the Lord together. He desires that I call Ervin Haste and talk with him. He is a man with two prosthetic feet and legs. Tim thanked me for being his personal pastor and the input I give to him. I give glory to the name of Jesus amen.
