After most of the men had left Pat McHenry came in with a heavy heart. Pat
had purchased a nice looking pickup truck for his business only to find later
that it had many problems. As soon as he had signed the papers and drove
it from the dealers parking lot; it began to run hot. The dealer wanted to charge
him an enormous amount of money to repair this problem. With the help of
someone else he was able to replace the radiator and water pump at a much
lesser price. After driving the truck for several weeks, he found out that the
differential was bad and would have to be replaced. Pat is a hard-working,
honest, Christian brother that has struggled for the last few years to make a
living. He is not financially able to replace the differential at this time. He would
not be able to make a living in the lawn care service nor have a way to go to
OCC and minister the gospel. As I heard this story my heart went out to Pat.
I suggested that he take his pastor and the truck back to the dealer; tell them
all the problems that he has had with this vehicle. I sensed the compassion
of the Heavenly Father toward Pat. I told him that the men of Covenant Life
Fellowship would be there to help him. He and his pastor, George Fluitt took
the initiative today and things are moving forward.
