Monday, August 5, 2013: Again, I stopped at the Shell station for coffee and
the doctor was sitting in his car reading the paper; I decided that I needed to
pray for him because of the compassion I had felt. His name is Dr. Dave
Lawrence; his wife's name is Carol. They are members of First Methodist
Church in West Monroe. Dave had cancer of the prostate and it appears that
after a long battle he beat that cancer but immediately found that he had
cancer the tongue. This battle isn't going well at all. I asked if I could pray for
him and he agreed, I prayed, he thanked me and said, "You have made my
day". As I was leaving Dave smiled and waved.
