the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We visited for about an hour talking about the
scripture and our experiences. Then as we began to pray we had Cliff stand in
the middle of the room as we gathered around. I led him in a prayer of confession
of faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial and resurrection. I had him forgive any
one who had wronged him in any way. Cliff raised his hands and began to worship
Jesus as we whispered Jesus name. Suddenly he became stiff and lean forward
then side to side. Mike and Tim had to hold him up. Then he began to stammer,
acting like a drunk man. Isaiah 20:11 “For with stammering lips and another tongue
will he speak to this people.” Cliff wanted to set down and have a drink of water.
He was so stiff that he lay back in the chair drinking in the Holy Spirit. When we
gave him the water he was still stammering so much it was like he was lapping
water like a dog. At this time he could not close his fingers or bend his body.
And said, "I will need someone drive me home." After a period of time he stood up
to worship and pray again; a language came out of him more clearly. Cliff wanted
an emotional experience that he could remember and the Lord gave it to him.
Praise the Lord there will be a big difference in his life. He went home rejoicing
after about three hours.
