On December 7, 2013 Tim Smith and Gary lively visited Jon Willink again in prison. His appearance was noticeably different. Jon had gained weight and developed a more positive mindset. Jon expressed to them that he had a concern for those in the “Block,” a 6' x 8' enclosure without a bed, or toilet, just a hole in the corner. They place a person in there naked. He himself had been in the block for nine weeks and said that it was torture. This had come about because of a suicide attempt. He is now looking for ways to be an encouragement to those who are in the block. Jon has been writing letters to some that he knows that are in the block through the internal mailing system. The Lord has impressed Jon to develop puzzles; these puzzles that he has developed can only be solved by the word of God. They are designed to cause a person to get in the Bible to solve the puzzle. I suppose it's something like Sampson did. This has given Jon a sense of purpose. This is a 180° turn from their visit in October and is an answer to prayer. As they were about to leave they asked Jon how they could pray for him, his answer back was, “How can I pray for you.” Tim and Gary saw this man with joy while incarcerated the same as Paul and Silas in Philippi.
