Thursday, June 19, 2014: At noon today I met with Tim Smith, I gave him CDs or the conference, pictures and a book by Charles Simpson called, "Challenge to Care." A few weeks ago, as Tim and Duane entered Swanson's to minister to teenage boys; these boys ate them for lunch and made them look foolish. They came away wondering if God was in this. Today I shared with Tim about the power of the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus. I gave him examples of casting out demonic spirits in the name of Jesus and how demonize people act when faced with the blood of Jesus Christ. We have great power through the name in the blood of Jesus Christ. I encouraged him to open with prayer using the name of Jesus, and the blood of Jesus and taking authority over those spirits at the beginning. He called this morning with excitement and joy in his heart over what he saw God do last night. On the way to Swanson's with Ervin Haste, Ervin shared with him that he enjoyed Brother Charles Simpsons personal testimony CD and that he also had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues but within the Baptist Church he had let this gift go dormant within him. Ervin desires to move in the power of the Holy Spirit. As they went into Swanson's they agreed together that while one was speaking the other would be praying and taking authority over the meeting.
