Jerry Coley told me this story. As a young boy he and his best friend stole water melons
together. Later in life his friend became an alcoholic. Last year Jerry and Bob Brulty went
to visit this man to witness to him. When they began to talk to him about Jesus he got
mad and told them to leave. But before they left Bob hugged him and kissed him on the
cheek and told him that he loved him. Later Bob went back and mowed the man’s yard
because the grass was real high. Bob didn’t knock on the door just mowed his yard and left.
Last week this man dies and his wife calls Jerry and wants him to precipitate in the funeral
with a preacher. Jerry asks the wife, if he would go to heaven or hell. He told her that he
would go to heaven because he had given his life to the Lord. The man had made all the
funeral arrangements before his death.
