Today at noon I visited with Casey Stover and what a joy it was. Casey has a
12-year-old daughter, Laney by his first relationship. The girl's mother took her
away and moved to another part of the country; he hasn't had any relationship
with her since that time. Her mother placed her into her parent's hands to be
raised while she married someone else and had three other children. The mother
told Laney that her father left her and didn't love her.
Laney has been with him now for two weeks and he has loving on her and
spending time with her. They are to play put-put golf together this afternoon.
She asked her father, “Casey, did you want to abandoned me?” Casey told
her the truth; he has always loved her and she was taken away from him.
Laney told him that she felt at home while there; she felt love. She wanted
to come live with Casey and his wife Jennifer and the two boys so that the
family would be back together again. By this fall she will be old enough to
make this decision on her own. Casey told her; “If you do come to live with
us, we will need a larger house to accommodate you.” As he told me this
story tears of joy filled his eyes and he wept uncontrollably as well as I.
I encouraged Casey to take his daughter, hold her and pray for her, put his
cheek on her cheek, reached down into God and pray. Ask God to forgive
him for not being a good father, also asking Laney to forgive him for not
being there for her for 12 years. He was to ask God to bless her and keep
her and whatever else the Holy Spirit would say at that time.
God had told Casey while in the prison that if he would come to Him; he
would restore everything that he had lost. He is overwhelmed at the fact
that God is keeping his covenant promise to him. Oh, what a joyful time
we had together.
There is one other thing that Casey wanted to tell me. He'd gone into the
bathroom to pray, as he was praying he began to pray in the Holy Spirit.
As he spoke in tongues the language came out very clear and precise
with boldness. As he was doing this is wife Jennifer ran into the bathroom,
rushed to the trash can and threw up. She looked at him and said, “I don't
know where that came from, I don't feel sick.” Casey had read my book
about the deliverance ministry; and quickly told her; she had been delivered
from an evil spirit. Praise God!
