about their marriage this Saturday, June 1. They will be going on their
honeymoon to Gulf Shores; all of the arrangements have been made. I will
be attending the wedding at Ouachita Baptist church. Last week one of
the men who Casey works with is a minister; he also ministered to Casey
and his family. He had learned about the faith Lucas has in the Lord; Lucas
has put the Lord before baseball and sports. He asked Lucas if this was so.
Lucas spoke up and said yes; the Lord is number one not baseball. The
minister told him the amount of money you have in your pocket I will match
it. So, Lucas pulled out a $20 bill and the minister matched that $20 bill
with another. Lucas looks up his father and asked him if it was all right to
tithe on that $40. His father said certainly son, then Lucas said I don't have
any one's; is it all right if I tithe by giving five dollars. Casey said certainly!
Casey told me that he was proud of his son. I'm also proud of Casey and
Jennifer and their newfound faith and determination to serve the Lord.
Casey feels a call to preach the gospel of which I am proud.
