Today Bro. Gerald and I visited Joe Casiday and he related this story.
Joe unlocks the church every Sunday morning and prepares for the
Lord’s Supper; he attends the Church of Christ. They wanted to start
paying him for doing this but he didn’t want to accept it because it is
something that he has done for years. They stated that they were going
to pay someone to do this. Then Joe thought of Don Glover the former
pastor that had retired; he thought a lot of his pastor. He would give
the money through the Church back to Don and his wife Betty. Later
Don’s wife expressed appreciation for the one that is doing this, it was
needed. Over the years Don had developed Alzheimer’s.
