(Mark 16:15)
As a part of Salvation Army’s annual bell ringing and fund raising, Janet volunteered
to ring bells in front of her local Walmart. Being blessed by doing this in times past,
Janet seizes on the opportunity that these times give her to share of the love of Jesus
Christ with so many people she has never met before. Whether it comes through a kind
word, a blessing, or a prayer, Janet simply loves the Lord and loves to love on others.
When ringing, she also likes to hand out something to people that lifts up the name of
Jesus. This year she bought and passed out mints that had something written on them
lifting up the name of Jesus Christ. This day, however, a lady walked by with her great
niece, who was 4 years old, and the lady gave the little girl some change for the kettle.
Surprisingly, the little girl would not take it, nor did she receive candy from Janet. Upon
looking at her, the little girl was extremely pale and did not look well at all. Janet had
compassion on her, and reached over and said, “Be healed in Jesus name.” An hour
passed and the lady and her niece were coming out of the store, and the girl was dancing
in the cart. With excitement, Janet and the lady both praised God and said, “Hallelujah!
The lady gave the little girl more change to put into the kettle, and the girl put it in. The
little girl also grabbed a mint! Praise God.
In Christ,
