about a serious situation with his brother Damon. He was in a low state.
He had to seek medical attention. When he got out of the hospital James
went and picked them up on Thursday evening. He was crying out for help
and needed someone to come and get him. The love of God welled up in
James's heart to reach out to his brother who is seven years older than
he. James had never seen his brother in this bad of shape before; a very
broken state.
It happened to be during the weekend of Charles Simpson conference and
Damon joined James around the men of God that he knew. Each one of the men
played a role pouring into Damon. The first night he met Whit Bass,
Mike Clark, Gary lively, Tim Smith and brother Robert. The highlight of
that night was when brother Robert ask if he can pray with him. This
stuck in his mind and heart. He told others how this man grabbed him,
pulling him real tight close to him like a paw paw would do to one of
his grandchildren that he hadn't seen a long time and prayed.
Saturday morning Whit Bass and Gary lively had an opportunity to minister
to Damon with prayer; he really got touched that morning. With only a few
days in West Monroe he left in a lot better shape than when he arrived.
He is now in a program in Alexandra; a 12 month journey.
