DAY 1:
Team Members:
Mike Walker
Rayland Trisler
Jimmy Eley
Whit Bass
Our Flight was rescheduled due to Storms. We left on the 6 AM flight to Washington DC instead of the 230 PM flight.
Monroe Airport
A Request for prayer by Team Member Jimmy Eley was made. Jimmy told me he had strained and injured his shoulder area and was in pain for 2 weeks with no relief. I asked Mike Walker to join me as we anointed Jimmy in the Monroe Airport with oil and prayed for him. We prayed for his interior part of his left shoulder to be healed. I found out after we landed in Atlanta that his shoulder was completely pain free. He knew this after grabbing his luggage from the overhead luggage bin.
Also, while at the Monroe Airport I prayed for a blind lady named Anna. I prayed for her eyesight to be healed. She inquired about my faith and I shared the Gospel message with her of how she could pray and receive Christ. No decision was indicated by her yet but a seed was planted. Nor was there any evidence of healing in her eyesight.
While on the flight to Washington DC our whole team sat on the same row. Jimmy sat by a flight attendant for United Airlines names Crissy. They struck up a conversation and talked about the Lord for quite some time. Jimmy reached over and asked me to talk to her so we changed seats. She asked me to pray for her husband’s healing of Cancer, healing in their marriage and for his Salvation. We prayed for just that. What I also found out was that she had been healed of cancer herself.
So, I began to tell her that I believed she had an anointing to pray for others with cancer since she herself had been healed. Upon hearing this news, she was so moved by receiving permission and encouragement to do pray for the sick that she wept tears of JOY.
THEN as I’m wrapping up my time with Crissy I was asked to come to the front of the cockpit of the plane. The 3 stewardesses’ (1 man and 2 women) were waiting for me to pray with them. I usually request to pray for the airline staff when I board the plane and this time, they took me up on it. Each one requested prayer for different needs. One for WISDOM. One for DIRECTION. The least for Overall good HEALTH. EACH ONE received the prayer with expectancy.
We spent the remaining day with Mike Walkers son Damon - wife Micky, and son Chaz. We watched Chaz play a baseball game then we spent the night at their home and were hosted wonderfully with a steak dinner and baked potato. WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY was shown to us before heading into the very poor and impoverished community near Blantyre Malawi.
