to us in Your name.” Luke 10:17
When vacationing in Panama City Beach with my family, my youngest son
Stephen was praying for two things….(1) the empowerment of the Holy
Spirit and (2) for opportunities to share his faith. With so many vacationers
present from all over the country, witnessing was something that was important
to Stephen. As a result, he was able to strike conversation with the resort
security guard named Robert. Robert shared with Stephen about his
aspirations to one day work as a law enforcement officer. He also shared
with Stephen about his back injuries he sustained while serving in the military.
He commented that he must have aggravated it recently as he was in continual
discomfort. Stephen felt impressed to pray for Robert and did. There were
no immediate results, and Stephen also took the opportunity to share with
Robert about a church he and I visited earlier in the week and encouraged
him to try it out. It was hours later that Stephen ran into Robert again, and
with a smile Robert told Stephen, “Honestly man, my back is feeling so much
better! I guess I have to go to that church now.” In addition to witnessing to
Robert, there was also Evenlyns, Lillian, Mr. Estaban, Mr. Curtis, and Mr. Caleb.
Experiencing God’s presence during these times has ignited a fire in my son.
Praise God. Andy and his wife Anna Maria are elated with what is happening!
In Christ,
Andy Magee
