good friend Mr. Naylor Jerome Adams passed into glory for his eternal reward!
Mr. Adams and I have been friends for 18 years; having gumbo at the Piccadilly,
and praying together. One day as we were eating; he said, “Robert, I have a
problem; every morning I get up and write love letters to Jesus. My notebook
is full, should I burn it.” I told Mr. Adams that he need to hold on to those
notebooks and let his children and grandchildren read about his relationship
with Jesus Christ after he passes into glory.
Every evening before getting into bed Mr. Adams got on his knees and prayed
for his family and friends. Mr. Adams had become the family patriarch showing
his children the way of salvation. Wednesday at our home group, we prayed for
Mr. Adams asking God to send a band of Angels to escort him into glory; if it was
his time to go. I know that this took place. This morning Mr. Adams is looking
over the portals of heaven and he is still praying for his family, and friends.
I thank the Lord for the friendship that Mr. Adams and I had together.
