Wednesday, March 4, 2020: From David Lindsay
I just got back from being with my beautiful Mother as she passed into heaven. It was a beautiful, godly experience! One that I will forever cherish! But, one of the biggest impacts was that of the covenant, community of God at work there in north Louisiana. No, not perfect, but to see the body of Christ come together to love my father, Robert Lindsay, my mother, Ginger and us, their family, was beautiful as well! - Michael Clark & Amy Williams Clark and Whit Bass and Michelle! Their love was without borders and extravagant! And the love of so, so, so many others as well!
I was impressed by the body of Christ there and as a result, I hunger for so much more! I hunger for more than 4 walls and a steeple. What does covenant community then look like? I am not all the way sure, but here is part of it:
RETHINKING CHURCH:
Growth through Covenant Community. Submitting to Each Other in the Fear of Christ There is a well-known verse in the Bible that states, “Wisdom is found with those who take advice” So true! What a great and powerful verse!
But the problem is that THIS ONLY WORKS WITHIN the context of GODLY, COVENANT COMMUNITY.
