Some happenings in the prayer tent and connections area from the Monroe Convoy Outreach.
There were opportunities for our prayer team and connections team to grow in their praying for our guests. It was a beautiful sight to see young college age and 20 somethings ministering with boldness. There was some equipping that took place for a few occasions.
One man named Wilburt - African American man probably in his late 30's was very receptive to receiving prayer for his Kidney. As he walked through our area, I asked him I we could pray for him. He said he had a Kidney that had already been shown to have a mass on it. That his pain level in his kidney area was about an 8 out of 10. I asked him if we could pray for his kidney. He agreed. At this point I encouraged others to gather around Wilburt. We all began to pray for Wilburt. He said he could feel a tangible difference after we prayed. He said, "Its gone. It's ALL GONE. I have no more pain in my kidney." As Wilburt remained in the TENT area he then began to help us pray for others. We prayed for some who had no hearing that were deaf. It was visible that the Lord was touching those who could not hear in some way. One person in particular who we prayed for said that her hearing improved slightly. We actually had some there who could sign for us which was helpful. Back to Wilburt, he continued to say, God is doing something in my Kidney. I can feel something happening in my kidney. (This was probably 20 minutes after we prayed for him the first time). The moment was a special one for us.
