Because I'm Honored That She's My Mother - Ginger Lindsay

She taught me how to sing.
She taught me how to dance.
She taught me how to worship.                                                                                          
Not because she preached it,                                                                                          
But because she lived it.


She taught me how to laugh.
She taught me how to smile.
She taught me how to enjoy
​life.                                                                                                
Not because she preached it,                                                                                                
But because she lived it.


She taught me how to listen.                                                                                                  
She taught me how to care.                                                                                          
She taught me how to live love.                                                                                        
Not because she preached it,                                                                                        
But because she lived it.


She taught me how to love God.
She taught me how to honor Him.
She taught me how to live in faith.
Not because she preached it,
But because she lived it.


Though her voice was most often quiet
My mother spoke with fervor.                                                                                    
And she taught me how to live life.
Not because she preached it,
But because she lived it.
