I have seen great men,
Each in pursuit of God,
Standing, yet unyielding,
In the face of a brother.
Surely, they know someone is wrong,
But, certainly, it is the other.
Like two stones, two rocks of offense.
Whilst true Love is lost in their midst.
I have seen great men,
Each in pursuit of God,
Standing, yet unyielding,
At the price of a brother.
A line in the sand says someone is wrong
But, certainly, it is the other
Face to face, two rocks of offense.
Whilst true Love is lost in the midst.
But yet...
I have seen a great man,
Jesus, the Son of God
Giving, and unyielding,
For the sake of a brother
Humble, yet, to the point of His death
Shunning glory for the sake of another.
And as Father turned; He took the offense
And there True Love died in their midst.
