He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them.
Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to
pass by them” (Mark 6:48)
Recently, I was doing some work at a local coffee shop, and I was trying to be
sensitive to not let the work of the Holy Spirit pass me by.  Sometimes, I remind
myself that God (the Holy Spirit) resides within me, and He knows the plans for
my life.  The Holy Spirit also expects me to follow Him.  This day, a young man
walked by me, and I greeted him.  In the middle of my conversation with him, I
felt that I needed to encourage him, and this happened by speaking words of life
into him.  When speaking, one could see him brighten up.  Almost like a little flicker
of a flame being re-ignited, I began to sense hope rising up in him.  You see, this
young man finished high school about two years ago and today, he has no direction. 
He comes from a family of 7 and has no relationship with his father.  I told him that
I would be more than happy to talk with him at any time.
