in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke 16:10
Recently graduating college, Tyler has been searching after God’s will for his life regarding
his career direction, and a recent door opened up for him and his wife to start their own business. In this pursuit, Tyler one day received a call from his dad who explained to him that he will be required to have two additional licenses for this business, and this will cost him around $700. Considering where Tyler was in the start of this business, this amount was not in his plans or budget, and it got him a little down. When eating lunch this same day, Tyler was thinking of his present financial dilemma, and he was searching out God regarding this matter. At the end of his meal, the Holy Spirit impresses on Tyler’s mind to give a $5 tip to the waitress who served him. Already being strained with thoughts of the costs associated with his business, Tyler initially shrugged at the idea of the tip amount; nonetheless, he responded in obedience to what he believed was the leading of the Holy Spirit. He gave the tip and told the waitress that Jesus loved her. Within minutes after this step of obedience, Tyler received a phone call, and it was his dad again. His father told him that the cost of the two licenses went from $700 to $75.
Praise God.
